After 6 blissful hours of bus sleep (got a CPAP this week. If you’re feeling like you’re not getting restful sleep, look into it. I’ve never felt so rested when I wake up), wanted to share my thoughts on last night’s game.

1) the game atmosphere production at ND blew away what IU does.
2) ND fans around us were super gracious. No bad attitudes or serious smack talk.
3) wet feet are the worst in cold weather
4) ND preyed on known weaknesses. They have a stout run D and also attacked with QB pressure.
5) receivers weren’t getting open
6) it felt like way worse than 17-3 at half. But then you consider the long TD run & the interception at the ND 2, & the FG drive stalling in the red zone, you have to ask what if.
7) the talking heads who say things like Indiana shouldn’t have been in can pound sand. You’re going to see far worse blowouts than this over the course of this thing.

8) and finally, I got to witness, live and in-person, the greatest 13 weeks of football in Indiana University history live and in person with my son. I’m not sure how he’ll carry these memories for the rest of his life, but I know they’ll stay with me. I have no regrets and I’m never daunted. Gonna send the huddle shuttle to the shop for some offseason upgrades and get her out camping some this summer to test some stuff out

8). I have a jr in hs and a frosh at PUke. We had so much fun bonding this year. I remember sitting with my youngest watching NB game and saying we gotta get tix to WA. My whole family, PUke son included went to WA and PUke games and had a blast. I also scalped tix with a former college roommate to MI game. I’ve never had such an awesome season being an IU football fan. Great memories with my boys and friends.

Poor PUke son will have to hear about how bad we got beat from the PUke students. It’s simply amazing how those aholes talk trash when they themselves suck soooo bad.

Lastly, this game and OSU showed the talent gap. I’m not sure IU will ever be able to close the gap? But make no mistake. Any 11-1 team from the BIG or SEC absolutely is worthy of being in the playoffs. What a ride!

I’m with you on “the greatest 13 weeks.” It’s been an incredible ride, far exceeding most fans’ expectations. Kudos to Coach Cig and the team on a job well done.

We lost last night to a team with faster, more physical and better players. Star ratings do matter, and we need more of the 4-star variety.

Finally, CCC is more than deserving of the COY awards. 11 wins is uncharted territory for IU football. Last night wasn’t his best coaching effort but he’s a student of the game and he’ll learn from the experience. The future of Indiana football is bright.

Go Hoosiers!

I assume the PUKe son got a full ride of some sort to allow for his persistence in that sh*t hole?
You’re not paying for any of that right?
I mean - why there of all places?
It’s a cancer offering cancerous degrees.

lol. He’s wanted to be an aerospace engineer since he’s been knee high to a grasshopper. He got into the engineering school, which is quite frankly, no small feat. In fact,
I remember when he found out he was accepted. I was driving on 465 as we were heading to an IU game. He was on his phone and he shouts out, “ I f-cking got in!” Screw the rivalry. I’m really proud of him. He certainly had dread when he finally realized he’s going to “that” school but when u live in IN and wanna be an engineer there is simply no better place to be. Rest assured I trained him well as he still hates the bastards. My wife still gets annoyed by his disdain for the PUkes when it comes to sports and their fans. I just smile. Although sadly it must be tough going thru school like that. But I digress

Tough spot.

Bounce the checks.
Let them chase him.
They are all fat, slow and stupid anyway.

Hope he can find a job in a couple years with that useless piece of paper.

A couple ways to look at it... there's the obvious "we were down 27-3 in the 4Q", there's also the "we lost by 10 and that's with the following happening:"

(1) Rourke throws an INT on the 2 yard line, costs us at least 3 points
(2) Refs don't call intentional grounding, keep ND in FG range, they hit a 49 yarder, costs us 3 points
(3) Refs call "late hit" when the QB isn't even out of bounds yet, makes for an easier FG attempt
(4) Cignetti calls a timeout on an insane fake FG attempt, costs us 3 points
(5) Missed 2-point conversion at the end

I'm upset that we didn't really go for it when given the chance. 4th and 4 on the 16 down 14-0 and we settle for 3? Down 17 with 12 minutes to go at midfield and we punt? They were blitzing on every 3rd down... where were the downfield shots on one-on-one coverage when they blitzed? At least give the receivers a chance to make plays. Where were the TE/RB chip and release passes?

They didn't make enough offensive adjustments from the OSU game. OSU exposed the weakness in IU which was blitz protection on passing downs.

I'm still happy we beat everyone not named Michigan, Ohio State, or Notre Dame by 14+ points this year.
