The Democrats control the committees and the hearings since they control the House, do they not? These were the folks they chose.Until reading this thread, not a single one of us has ever heard of Aimee Arrambide. Yet, whatever she says suddenly represents all Democrats, everywhere, and shows that they have all lost their minds. Makes sense.
You want to be mad about somebody misstating the Democrat's position on abortion, be mad at whomever picked these women as the spokespeople in the hearing.

The only thing I can think of is pointing out when ELECTED REPRSENTATIVES like MTG (not some random schmo off the street) says batshit crazy stuff like how the "Gespacho" is out to get her. Even then, I don't hold up her views as representative of all Republicans.
Hopefully whatever IU basketball strategy changes need to occur to ensure we win the national championship game we're in next year.

She refers to the activities she likes as being those of a "Tomboy" as compared to her sisters. Accepting the role of a Tomboy comes pretty close to thinking you are a male.
I'd say Miller High Life but it sucks in a can.

Miller Lite is my Switzerland of beers. If I’m with a group of Bud Light or Coors Light drinkers, I bring Miller Lite because I like it better than those two and everyone can drink it just fine.
Not unless you want to kill yourself. It’s a long hot day. You need a beer that also hydrates. I’ve also done some Mexcans. Tecate in a can is my go to for track.

At 16th and Georgetown I don’t want anyone side eyeing me. I want them to see me drinking a cheap beer. So they know I’m a damn Murican.
Lite beer Flys through me. Frequent piss stops. While craft I can hold out for hours.
Plus there's buzz levels. If you start out with a dipa you are at cruising altitude for the day. Just mix in some bottled water.
I think Sun King should release GFJ before the race instead of before the 4th.
This could be said for both sides, media in America is blatantly slanted depending on the affiliation. Opinion based things I do take with a grain of salt and do both ways, but when it is blatant like this one it is just to black and white.
I've seen countless threads started regarding Trump the past few years that were largely full of "worthless limited" information and typically opinion and the same goes for Biden.
Can they keep this hearing going until November? Please call more witnesses Dems.

I think the Rep does a good job of pushing these witnesses on the logical conclusions of their positions. I agree they don't come off well.
In the second clip with the doctor, the Rep says that "it happens," referring to abortions of perfectly healthy babies at 9 months, seconds before giving birth. Is that true? Is there an instance on record of that occurring? Anyone have a cite or link?

I think he was trying to get her to say where she would draw a line just to narrow down if she could conceive of any restrictions. Didn't seem like she could. As to the type of abortion being discussed, I believe the partial birth abortions would fit what was being described.
He is a conservative. One of the few good ones along with you , twenty, crazy and aloha.
If they are trying to win the argument using these examples, that’s incredibly poor strategically. Most people support some limitations and find these late term abortions (absent extraordinary circumstances) abhorrent. The Ds are often bad at politics.

I'm pretty ignorant on this subject. There are partial birth abortions being performed on healthy fetuses in the 9th month of pregnancy? Do you have a link or cite for that?
Are these two--the Rep and the Dr.--just disagreeing over what counts as a "healthy" fetus/baby?

The only type of abortion that does happen after 24 weeks is for fetal anomalies. Most abortions for fetal anomalies happen before 24 weeks, but a very small percentage happen later than that. The abortions that take place later do so because it takes time to do the ultrasounds and genetic testing. Sometimes a fetal MRI may even be needed.Sadly, some women are lied to by anti-abortion doctors in states with gestational age limits and get their genetic testing done on the late side because the doctor wants to try to take the possibility of an abortion off the table. I have personally heard of this happening.
However, even with the most on-the-ball OB-GYN, it can still be a race to get all the information and give a pregnant person time to think it over before 24 weeks. Sometimes the drastic nature of the problem isn’t fully realized until the pregnancy progresses. Other times a woman is carrying a fetus incompatible with life and thought she would go to term and let nature take its course, but then she realizes she just can’t. Who among us should judge those women?
When these procedures do happen, they could be an induction of labor, or some highly skilled providers can perform dilation and extraction procedures past 24 weeks. The closer to term (40 weeks), the more likely the procedure will be an induction of labor. So at 36 or 37 weeks, in most situations, the doctor will simply induce labor and after delivery not resuscitate the baby. However, there are rare medical situations where that might not be advisable, so the option of a dilation and extraction allows women in these situations to avoid a C-section.
The facts are that 98.6 percent of abortions happen before 21 weeks. Most of the terminations at or after 21 weeks are very wanted pregnancies with serious fetal anomalies. Some are for the health of the mother and a very small percentage are for personal reasons. Almost all women who have later abortions for personal reason would have had the procedure sooner if they could have, so the very laws proposed by politicians who aim to restrict abortion (mostly under the false pretense of safety) actually lead to delays.
