I didn't like it when CNN fed debate questions to Hillary, and vice versa.
And I know all media is partisan to greater and lesser extents.
And I know it has happened since Washington.

But the idea that a Presidents Chief of Staff tells a media outlet - even FOX - (and even a Hannity who is allegedly an "editorial" not a "reporter)- what to say, how to present an issue, what spin to apply ...

It just bothers me.

At some point media has to stay close enough to neutral to operate as a check and balance on power.

The Hooterville Monthly can't serve that function. It has to be responsible national media too. And if the nationals are just gonna fellate one party or the other, it just gives the anti-First Amendment crowd a card to play.

Where is the happy medium?

To be fair, it also bothers me that the loser can now just file a bunch of charges, start a bunch of investigations and subpoena, then mine, a bunch of e-mails.

The goose and the gander are both in the cooking pot now.
Yeah, but that's how we found out about the texts...

You're only naive if you didn't think this was happening.
