Na, I consistently said he was a year two player at Purdue. You all consistently told me he was the best recruit and a massive loss.
I guess last Sunday’s sting is wearing off.

A classic example of your posts. You like to talk a big game but when challenged you try to ignore, change the subject or run and hide. I am still waiting for you to explain how I used a term improperly in a past thread. I did not and challenged you to do so. Of course, you just ran away because you had no answer. You are correct in that people were excited about him initially. But what you are choosing to ignore is that he began an in then maybe out and back in and then maybe out, etc. There was skepticism about him before BYU. And given his present state, it is likely that Purdue is better off without him. He is gifted but apparently has views that are not aligned with Painter's culture. Painter learned the hard way that is not good for his teams.
We'll see at season's end, but I see a high probability that he is in the portal.

He lost the two time national player of the year and is still in position to get a double bye in the BTT. I’d say he’s done fine. They get everyone back next year. Like it or not, their program has momentum. I wish we could have their sustained consistency. Can do a lot worse than 4 sweet 16s in 5/6 years and multiple big ten titles.

If he does enter the portal perhaps Purdue can beg him to come back again and offer some of those McDonald’s gift cards you use for NIL.

It's truly hard to put into words how big of a loser posters like him are. Just think of the time, energy, and effort it takes to live here and troll for a team they aren't even a fan of.
He was laughed off of his own board after getting dog walked by one of their own player’s Mom. He was banned here for bad behavior so the amount of time he has invested in the new accounts just to be embarrassed here on a daily basis is pretty amazing.

I wonder how the Purdue spin will handle Berg and Waddell being run out, and them hosting one of the higher paid mercenaries in this year's portal class, in Cluff?
As I, and many others, predicted...without Edey, they fell back... Painter knows they're not Natty, or even B10 competitive, even with Smith, TKR, Loyer, others returning...so he's cleaning his Paint brushes, and hiring some help.
I honestly hope they get Cluff, that'll make two bigs that are limited on the perimeter both offensively and defensively, and neither are backline defensive help for the obvious perimeter defensive liabilities of Smith and Loyer. And since Cluff would be one of the top paid players on their team, they'll play him, A LOT...and they'll continue to play TKR a lot. Which means less minutes for Peterson. Which means he'll portal out, possibly the second Cluff would commit, but certainly at next season's end.
Basically... signing someone like Cluff would make every word Painter and the trolls on this board have uttered since NIL and Portal dynamics took hold... BS. The fact that they're hosting him kind of already does.

Berg and Waddell being run out is a take. No evidence they were run out. They weren’t being run out last year when Purdue was down a scholarship or Gillis wanted to come back. But now that rosters are bigger, yes, they were apparently run out. Had nothing to do with having degrees and wanting to play.
As for competitiveness. They were way more competitive this year than anyone thought and should be better next year without transfers. I think I was told here a fringe tournament team. Not sure how cluff affects Jacobsons future. No idea who Peterson is though. Gave Houston hell without Jacobson and Cluff. You probably thought they’d lose by 20+ because “that’s the type of team Purdue struggles with”.
Jacobson isn’t going anywhere. Why would he? Purdue will be a final four contender behind one of the best guards in the country. Or is he still an Edey merchant that will take a huge step back once Edey leaves? Not sure how painter taking a transfer changes anything he’s said. Or anyone here.

The team that Indiana beat the brakes off of, and lost 6 of their last 9 B10 games.. is gonna be Final Four level team next year, just because they're older... laughable.

I'm sure Jacobson is just loving a 7 figure big, that's essentially taking his job, walking through his locker room today. The realities of all this are now hitting Purdue. Edey held that off longer than it did most other programs.
We'll see what happens to the program when Smith "gets paid" his market value, and they add a 7 figure cluff... Do Loyer, TKR, Jacobson, all deserve Cluff money? Heide's an athletic wing, hit some big shots in the NCAA...if Gabe Cupps is making half what he's reportedly getting at OSU... what do you think Heide, Cox, Harris are thinking they're worth?
Painter very well might manage his way through all this well. He has thus far, for the most part. But it won't be by solely recruiting undervalued HS kids, and developing them over multiple years, and bringing in Lance Jones like guys to plug holes.

Purdue has the money to pay guys. I’ve been saying this. It’s not an issue. Why wouldn’t Painter manage his way through it? He is a great coach and has a really good culture of guys that fit his program. Everyone leaving wants more playing time. That’s not a bad thing if you are Purdue.

Bringing in what will be one of the top paid transfers... that will take minutes, role, shots, money, lots of things away from established guys like TKR, and guys they're working to develop like Jacobson... is obviously a fair bit different than Lance Jones coming in last year as a spot up guy...

You assume he is taking money. You have no idea how much they are making or the breakdown. I’ve never said painter would avoid the portal, just that he prefers to develop his team and supplement, not build through the portal.
