The last memorable IU contribution to One Shining Moment was the Cheerleader getting the stuck ball down a couple years ago.
like iu? we're nothing special, man. we had a HOF coach for 3 decades way back when. that was 30 years ago. nobody cares.
prospects, when doing their pros cons lists for whether they want to play at IU, are not putting "magical" on the pros side.

Mike Greenburg's show this morning talked about the championship game for about 10 minutes, then for an hour and a half on the NFL draft and Aaron Rodgers. college basketball is a regional sport and has no national draw outside of the tournament. in other words, nobody gives a shit about IU except us.
