Some probably did. And we certainly have the potential to hang with top teams. But if they play their A game, yeah. No. We still lack the players and it was very clear this game. We would have had to play a perfect game to pull this out.
Stop moving the goal post. Woodson saw what I saw and benched Kopp. It’s Ok. You were wrong. Get over it and move along. Maybe next time champ.
Another 2nd half disappearing act. 20 points in a half will beat nobody.
I had no respect for Frazier as a player a few yrs back but he’s turned himself into a massive little pain in the ass.
We can hide it in many games. But when you play a team with guards that quick that can shoot, it’s a losing proposition.
At least Stewart hit a 3 and pulled the trigger on a couple other decent shots.
They weren’t open. When they are our guards can’t find them. TMP put together a graphic that illustrates it. Lander actually found Parker early but lander gives up to much. That’s one area X struggles with is vision finding shooters.

We have a new coach and three new starters. The Big Ten Media Day picked IU to finish about 5 or 6 in the Big Ten and that seems about where we will finish.
We will be in the NCAA tournament and can have a few more blind/pig/acorn games. Hopefully, we can eliminate at least two despicable teams from the Big Ten tournament and at least one despicable team from the NCAA Tournament.
We have a fairly good bench, but no one knows which bench player will excel on any given game.
Many unknown mysterious stealth refs you've-never-heard-of in the NCAA Tournament would not let Cockburn get away with his dancing feet and flying elbows. We can be spoilers and. seriously, everybody but one team in the NCAA Tournament is a spoiler anyway. We'll fit right in, and it's up to Woodson to make us better next year.
Some did I read the posts. But just killed on three again. We better win at northwestern cause the three after that could all easily be losses. At MS and ohio state are likely losses
Frazier palms the ball constantly but his shooting has improved dramatically. Not large in stature but he’s one tough kid.
They are ok vs bad teams but the last two good teams we played at home have destroyed us. The lack of threes kills us plus the amount of close shots we miss are amazing.
No it’s not. Tons of bitchy Karen’s. Over emotional grown children. Cockburn is just better and so is Illinois. You think you don’t see other players not get called for travel and elbows? I’ll agree with us being spoilers. We are exactly where we were picked pre season. 5-7. We are who we are. Woodson threw everything he could at them. They are just better.
That means betting wisconsin at home and if we lose at northwestern Tuesday we are firmly back on the bubble.
Coaching staff needs to get them open. The Illinois coaching staff was certainly able to get open shots for their players.
Schedule does not get any easier. Today was just a start of an incredibly difficult two week stretch

It’s really disappointing that this is the 2nd game where we have played better without TJD. Maybe we should bench him when we play a team with a dominant big?
Illinois guards are just better. They guard the three as good as anyone too. We seem to be stuck on 5-6 average. TMP put together a pretty good graphic why. Agree we need 8-10 to be in the top half of the league. Hard to do when either our shooters aren’t open or our other players don’t find them when they are.
We didn’t hit some open looks we normally hit. The looks were few though. Race had some open ones. Couldn’t knock them down.
