Reset and let's have everyone assume this is Archie's 1st year here and he inherited a 1/2 empty cupboard. I'll stipulate all that, even though it's not true. 0-0 record, let's judge him on what he does this year forward, what recruiting is coming in, and his performance this year.

Make a good argument based on player improvement/team development over his tenure, or future recruiting that will sell on why he should be around in two years, be making deep tourney runs, and having the program anywhere near elite as was promised as expectations per Fred … for making 3.5M.

Have fun with that, or we could start with the reality that we need to push reset now and not be desperate for Crean 3.0 in a year.

Here's the problem with that, we could have just called and said call in the results but for 2 of those, save the environment extra jet emissions. No, I do not expect the IU of my memories to EVER anticipate a loss, but we do now. We need a coaching attitude that approximates the fan base, you think Nick Saban or Coach K ever expect to lose … they don't, nor should we anymore

Yet Saban is toast. Out of CFP and Coach K got punked at home to SFA. That’s my point. Good teams lose ALOT.. but IU hasn’t but once. Just move on. Forget about past shit. Let’s play the season out

NO, THEY DON'T, but when they do or lose to inferior competition, their players or coach accept accountability, our's don't seem to, and that is a level of leadership. Not at all supporting the idea of Alford, but you know what … when he didn't think he'd brought it that year, and certainly not all on him, he skipped getting paid … that's integrity.

looking at this board today you would think we lost by 10 last night. Give the team some credit. It was ugly. But UConn had the advantage with the crowd/location, had size to match or even overmatch us underneath, had a senior scoring guard who is experienced, and had a bench as deep as ours. Last night's results improved our chances of playing meaningful ball in mid-late March. Something we have not done much of over the past 5 yrs.

The last two years have been bad and I too think he's underperformed. That said he still has time and I thought last night was a great response to the wisconsin debacle. the kids fought really hard the entire game. i think most of us can live with off nights and poor play from time to time - it's lack of effort that doesn't cut it.

I think the issue is what are the expectations for iu going forward. to win national championships? then miller needs to recruit a hell of a lot better to compete with the big boys. i have no idea if he is capable of that or not. to field a competitive top six big ten team year in and year out. i think he can do that and i venture to guess most of the fanbase would be okay with that too, provided the program is clean, and the teams play hard and consistent with lapses like wisconsin very few and far between and no more 12-2 starts followed by 12 straight losses. becoming unc, duke, or uk may not be in the cards for us anymore given a whole host of reasons, and that's okay.
