Kudos to Pelosi

Serious question, because I know nothing about politics. When was the last time she was voted in by the public to her position? She looks like she has been living in a nursing home for 10 years. WTF don't we have an age cutoff? Would you want your doctor about to operate on you being 93? Good god.

Every 2 years.

Kyiv bugs the crap out of me.

Its Kiev.

(yes, I know Kyiv is correct now, still bugs me.)
Kyiv has been correct since 1991, when the Soviet Union dissolved. Before that, it was also correct, but the Moscow overlords insisted on the Russian spelling and pronunciation, rather than the Ukranian spelling and pronunciation.

Ukrainian is not an easy language to master, and the pronunciation 'KEE-ef' is really a great approximation of how the word 'Kyiv' sounds in the native Ukrainian language.

No news media seem to pronounce it correctly. Not even close. We always hear "KEE-ev" or "Keeve".

What did she accomplish, outside of grandstanding and giving MSNBC something to slobber over?
I think sending the message to Putin that the world is watching is a good thing. That war needs to stop before a nuke goes off.

Generally, I think Pelosi is a horrible person who has damaged our nation for partisan reasons. But going to Kyiv was a right thing to do.

You think Putin knows or cares what that yeast bag does? I don't

Putin may dislike Pelosi as much as I do, but I guarantee the President of the Russian Federation knows that the Leader of the US House of Representatives was in Kyiv and calculated the meanings and costs.

Your objection to ALL things Dem is a problem.

Its like I tell the anti-McConnell GOPers, "just because Mitch McConnell hates Donald Trump does not mean its ok for a Senate Majority Leader to refuse to meet with/work with/talk with a President of the United States." Without regard to the personalities, the JOB of running government MUST go forward.

And if dealing with Ukraine keeps the Dems off stride in moving this country closer to socialism, I'm OK with that too. We're dealing with a President who cares more about engine emissions on our tanks and trucks than whether we can defend ourselves from a hostile nuclear power. Biden the Babbler wants a GREEN eco-friendly military!

My bigger concern is that we're building up to put US service men and women into the mix and this is part of the negotiating process.

She committed the United States to Ukrainian victory. Was that planned or just the ramblings of another octogenarian after too much Chardonnay?
The world knows our geopolitical policies are potentially gonna change every 4 years.

We're good short-burst allies, but unreliable in the long-term. Everybody knows it.

Her statements aren't as important as just showing the flag.
