all conference season seems we caught teams at the worst possible time, coming of losses etc. yesterday brought about the worse draw possible for the BTT, Michigan has as much talent as anyone in the conference and playing their best basketball all season, and Illinois in my opinion is the best team in the Big. Plus, if there is one thing that kills us its bigs, So we draw Dickerson and Cockburn

The season will be over around 1 30 on Thursday, what a waste of a tournament worthy roster. If we could have got Mich St then Wisconsin I truly believe we would have made a run.

We shouldn’t be in this situation to need a run in the tournament to begin with. Wasted way too many opportunities in games we basically we had won if we don’t collapse in the last 5 minutes.

Season technically won’t be over—IND will be in the NIT.

You are correct here, although this season we made our own luck. Win a couple of the very winnable games and our luck is different.

It's easy to look at the last 2 games and concentrate on those. But We could have done something earlier to avoid this situation.

1, 2 Games against Wisconsin that were close. Blowing the 26 Point halftime lead was a killer.

2. Losses to Penn State and Nebraska. Win one of those.

3. The Suspension/Give Up game against Northwestern. That's not unlucky. That's outright stupidity and selfishness on the part of several Players.

This team was only better by a whisker over last yrs team.
To be better they need coached up..With much better offensive schemes ..Than what we saw.
Zero guy's that can get their own.And close a game ..
It was ..What it was..
I guess they get one last last chance..
If they absolutely have to win two ..It'll take godly intervention..imo

We didn’t lose to NEB.

The B10 was better last year, and our conference schedule was a little more favorable this year. I agree that we are a whisker better. For the most part this team played with a greater sense of urgency. The half 1 versus 2 disparity is on ongoing theme that has seemed to plague our program for years now (a Jekyll and Hyde issue).

Some things are just never meant to be (that way, again).

I'm not thrilled with the early Thursday starting time. My wife and I like to hang out downtown Thursday, if not Friday, too. It's a good time to bar hop (Kilroy's is traditionally the designated IU fan bar) but it's fun to stagger into other ones all lit up, schmoozing with fans of foreign schools, strutting your colors like a peacock in heat, engaging in generalized merriment between drink and eat...that sort of thing. If IU should get an unlikely win over Michigan, all is well. Otherwise, the fun will be over before it really has a chance to start. Once IU has fallen, the electricity in the air is never quite the same, but somehow we manage to carry on, doing what we must, sorrows buried in drinks gone soured, the whiskey sours I now want. (insert refrains from Roger Waters, Comfortably Numb).

Thursday's weather in Indy calls for a high of 53. under partly sunny skies. It could be warmer but I can live with that. Friday is 70% chance of rain with a high of 51, so Thursday looks like the day with lots of people stumbling into each other, all high on hopes and assorted whatnot.

I'm looking forward to the fun times back in Indy again and hope that you do, too. Maybe I'll see you there and not even know it, offering you another hit...of FRESH AIR! (if you're truly square).

IU was up 17 over Wiscy at halftime. IU did not lose to Nebraska. Number 3 - you nailed it. I will never understand those 5.
