Just two games in, but defensive numbers....points allowed

33 this season, 69 last season after two games. Field goals are better than touchdowns. Defense seems better? Is it all smoke an mirrors? Had Feeney not gotten hurt I think IU wins by more and gives up less. Couldn't advance the ball when we needed to in order to eat up clock, which forced our defense to be on the field too much. Also, up 30 - 0, had what looked to be like the entire 2nd unit defense on the field for a few plays that in my opinion gave Ball State some needed momentum. Even though it was for only 2 - 3 plays it looked like it changed the game somewhat.
