Just got home someone

It is kind of obvious in my case also BB holes in windows that could only come from the ones property, other was a rental across the street that now is a Menno farm, most are around me except for 2 rednecks that caused troubles. Then the one next door calls the county on me about stuff. He is a crazy stalker . I will take the Mennos anyday. The one across the rd did come talk to me and make his clean up the TP mess. I had no input with these people to have caused this. One good thing from pandemic TP seems to be held in higher regard than wasting it to make a mess
Funny about tp

how do you corn a car? Never heard of such a thing
You take corn from the fields and throw it at moving cars. It makes a lot of sounds when it hits them. One time we were on the balcony of a building and threw at cars, timing it so when it hit the cars we would duck and they couldn't tell where we were at. I remember one time one of the teens had a real nice souped up Chevy SS and we threw the corn. He screeched to a halt and drove around the block 3 times. lol He never caught us which was good because he had a couple of friends with him. They would have killed us.

Could always be worse. My niece had a fire extinguisher thrown through her sun roof yesterday in DC from the top of a parking garage. World's gone crazy.

Wow, that is very scary. I assume she wasn't injured and am happy if this is the case. I remember when I worked for Wendys in Westfield. We would get a lot of the students from Union Bible College and there was a girl who was a friend of one of our workers who would come in quite a bit. Indianapolis around 95 or 96 had a really bad riot. I can't remember what it was over. This girl who was probably 21 was driving on Meridian had a concrete block come through her windshield it messed her face up quite a bit. I felt so bad for her because young women care a lot about their looks. The world can go crazy at times no doubt.

Thanks, I should have said she wasn't in the car at the time and wasn't hurt.

Wait a second, did you just say you have a $2000 mailbox? That might be the reason right there. I think mine cost $50 at Lowe's sans the installation, which I didn't need to do last time, but with new lettering and all. You might be a victim of perceived mailbox privilege, possible hate crime

Find a corn field on a somewhat busy country road, grab an ear and remove a handful of loose kernels. Throw them at the passing cars and when they stop you run....sounds silly saying this now but as a teenager this was some good Halloween fun. Even funner when the local Barney would drive by. Some of the gang would be too scared to throw at him. Gets the blood racing! Like VPM said it didn't do any damage to cars but some people would get a litte "perturbed".
Where there is a will there's a way, the first and last time I drove buzzed. It was in the winter on a backroads from a friends house not far down, but not when you are in your sister's Miata that you borrowed for the winter cause it sounded like a fun trade and she couldn't handle it in Btown with the hills, its not fun. Closest to ever going down in my life, imagine sliding towards a corn field in this thing on ice, buzzed and I can see in peripheral vision, oh fantastic, there's a sheriff cruiser just about to meet me there in the corn field. I'm lucky I didn't shit, but the cruiser went by before and i hit traction once I slid into on the main road, but never again, not ever. I was convinced I was going down and you can't very well get away with a Miata stuck in a corn field with ice

No DNA in feces. Urban legend.
Of course there is. Loads of bacterial DNA and the human intestine sloughs cells constantly. Human component can be isolated, analyzed (no pun intended) and used as a marker for identification. Not the kind of thing that anyone would likely pursue save in a capital crime so probably generally safe to shit on people's whatever if that's what one does...

Not proud but did a 360 on black ICE when I shouldnt have been driving yrs ago. I likely did better a bit buzzed and relaxed and it was on a way in the boonies road home. Ended up scuffing a stop sign post with my bumper as I came to a stop and it was 3 AM I never passed another car that night .

the hoa makes everyone buy the mailbox from them, I'm sure someone is raking in a few dollars

You should really consider living somewhere that lets you make your own decisions
could probably sell for 3 to 4 hundred k, more than I paid for the place 3 years ago, hoa"s can be a pain in this ass but having certain standards on things like mailboxes does make for a nicer neighborhood

That was our sign, never done it again, and I wasn't like wasted or anything, just enough to know that I plant this damn thing In a corn field and have to walk home, there will be big trouble when I wake up. It was like a full on uncontrollable slide towards a main road/corn field landing, not driving irresponsibly, just exploring what Miata's can do on ice!

It's more, but something/different new will cost you more, and then there's the can I trust it factor. That's kind of where we are, invested in something we trust, but need a ranch cause we're getting older and got a really good appraisal in refinance last year, but anything you would buy is more too. We really need a ranch cause of oldness, but I'm holding out till the market shakes out. Stay strong, go to Lowe's and get you a mailbox :)

why would you want a ranch if you're getting older? I've invested in farmland and then lease it out but no way in hell am I ever going to ranch or farm

Yup , woke me up and slow rest of way home.

I'm sure I'll get in trouble for this, but that's just f'd. Get out of there! Before my wife and I got married, I was paying like $3500 a year in HOA fees in a condo, just paying ridiculous fees for sub-par treatment so we didn't have to do anything. I still pay fees for that stuff (lawn care, gutters, etc), cause I'm lazy and it ain't worth my time vis-a-vis work and cause I'm going to be annoyed to work end it anyway.

A ranch style house, and in a word it would be stairs. I'm not planning on raising animals, we got a couple cats and that's enough. If I could do that, the damn stairs would be a non-issue. In fact, I've got the opposite problem, farmland we want to sell and an illusive, dependable "ranch" style house we don't want to move far towards

ran over my mailbox while I was in Indy, I understand accidents happen but what kind of a human being destroys someone's property and just drives off, no note left on the door or nothing. what should be a great night of IU returning to the tournament has been tainted

Funny about tp
Yes that is funny about tp, my wife treats it like a luxury item. We do the Instacart shopping thing and I'm always asking can we finally get a 2.99 f'n thing of cheap ice cream, I'm not asking for Haggen Das or Ben and Jerry's here, just Kroger crap. No, more tp

I would like to know where in the world in this hillbilly state has a HOA?

For $2000 per you form a partnership with your HOA guaranteeing a daily supply of trashed mailboxes and sub contract to the ditzy 16 year old in the Suburban.
He said that was for the mailbox, I would hope there's a serious escort service that does lawn care and general maintenance involved much more

They're still plentiful and i can relate to the pain, because I dealt with it for years

I've seen HOA mandated mailboxes in the $500-700 range..... but $2k? Is it brick/masonry?

I would think it would have to be, I could design something pretty artsy/outrageous and have it made and installed for less than 2K.

I'm late to this conversation, but growing up in Terre Haute we mainly corned houses. Back when more houses were aluminum siding, you could make a hell of a racket.

We'd load up full size tube socks full of shelled corn for ease of transport. Seems so stupid looking back, but that was life in the 80s growing up in Terre Haute.
