Jussie Smollett Trial Is Starting

They tweets were from people who believed the New York Times story. The NYT was incredibly wrong. They deserve the blame. I don't know what Biden and Harris have said since it became clear that Smollett was a liar, but I don't care that much, either.

I was told there would be rioting if he was convicted.

What happened today to

must never be tolerated in this country. We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie.

is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I’m praying for his quick recovery. This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. We must confront this hate.

Total rush to judgement. Has either one recanted/apologized?
Here's a neat collage of all of our lovely politicians, past and present, from the pres and vp, to of course the Squad so anxious to get out there, to Pelosi, to now the Trump family relishing the opportunity to make fun of it. These are the people we've elected the last five years.

Not entirely true. The Dave Chappelle stand-up bit on this sums up how most people felt after the details starting coming out.

I agree 100% politicians, etc. should not be issuing opinions until facts come out. Problem is that Twitter is a new medium that rewards impulsivity. You can argue they were rewarded in the game of politics. A game that everyone on both sides plays.

Hopefully some long overdue lessons are learned. I think the general public has learned a lot about how to digest Twitter over the last few f’ed up years. These BS tweets will not work if the public rejects them.
Harris and Biden’s inability to digest information and facts (on this case and others) before jumping to join the narrative are precisely why I could not vote for them.

@Univee2 - Gonna need a ruling here for allowing a statement into dialogue which could even remotely force a person to imagine Hillary nekkid.

Just got home from Christmas shopping for my bride. Saw that you had tagged me about this. The image (I don't know if anyone here now remembers the original "The Image" from maybe 18-19 years ago) you've referenced sent me right to the liquor cabinet. I had planned to watch several episodes of Drive to Survive while sober. That's not possible now.

Anyway, The Kangaroo Court long ago set a policy that any sexual imagery involving she who must not be named shall result in a $50.00 (ten times normal for the math challenged) fine and a public apology. Linking also results in a $10.00 fine. Get out those checkbooks.

Good pictures of Cindy Crawford may be posted as penance.

I come hat in hand on bent knee. What I suggested was cruel and unusual punishment, not for the perp but definitely for the gallery.

Interesting. Did you sit this election out? Write-in Dan Dakich?

Yup. That's why I thought it worthy of posting
Next time you might want to cut and paste it here, preventing the organization from getting clicks on their site and then using those clicks to go generate money in some form.

One of my sources says that the Florabama Bar and grill and the Osundario Brothers are close to tying up a deal for the first annual Juicy Smullet toss, a slight twist on their annual event. They caution, there may be Beach spray'ed on participants.

One has to wonder what in the world this is meant to accomplish. If they feel like whitey isn’t showing enough hate to perpetuate the narratives they need to drum some up? Of course, they continue to be told that hate is responsible for every issue in the black community, so someone had better keep it going…
