The site's admins @Jim Coyle @Bloom. should buy access to Synergy and give all of us the passcode. It's only about $9,000 per year but they're probably too cheap ..Oh, I stole it from you. You put that URL a long time ago and I book marked it straight up. Good stuff.
Good stuff. Interesting. Bookmarked. The site's admins @Jim Coyle @Bloom. should buy access to Synergy and give all of us the passcode. It's only about $9,000 per year but they're probably too cheap ..
Basically lump all youtube highlights in with that sentiment as well.Yeah, lets evaluate what we saw from a 6 minute "scrimmage" where players were playing matador defense with the goal of not getting hurt so they could make practice the next morning.
I’d say it’s because they have no backup point. So unsure of minutes. We know X is woodys guy.
Certainly not saying these guys are Buckner and Wilkerson, but there were many times each shared running the offense. They could just flat out play. X and JHS will both be running the offense.I’m not sure it’s going to be that one is a PG and the other a 2. They may share duties, and having two primary ball handlers capable of running an offense affords our staff some flexibility.
I really expected JHS would come off the bench for several reasons: lack of backup PG, bring a freshmen along slowly, test different lineups, and with his size he could defend multiple positions and be the backcourt wing bench guy and MR the frontcourt backup. But, with all the praise, you'd think he'll find his way into the starting lineup.I’d say it’s because they have no backup point. So unsure of minutes. We know X is woodys guy.
You don't bring legitimate 5 stars who led their teams to consecutive national titles off the bench. Didn't a pro scout just say after IU's pro day last week that JHS is our best pro prospect, and that's it's not even close?I really expected JHS would come off the bench for several reasons: lack of backup PG, bring a freshmen along slowly, test different lineups, and with his size he could defend multiple positions and be the backcourt wing bench guy and MR the frontcourt backup. I present the greatest hype train ever:
I was acknowledging that it was likely he's going to start. Although if you saw CMW's latest comments, it seemed to indicate he's still unsure if he'll start or come off the bench. And no, I don't believe CMW is guaranteeing anyone a starting spot, he's gonna make you earn it.You don't bring legitimate 5 stars who led their teams to consecutive national titles off the bench. That and it's illegal for us to do that. The site's admins @Jim Coyle @Bloom. should buy access to Synergy and give all of us the passcode. It's only about $9,000 per year but they're probably too cheap ..
Minor details. That and it's illegal for us to do that.
He makes mistakes for sure. But he gets in the way, deflects and blocks. Miller does his best to stay in front. Miller does not alter shots or start the offense with a deflection.Ironically, Kopp gets PT specifically because of his defense according to CMW, while it's always been presumed that Geronimo doesn't, because of his defensive lapses! I think you're projecting based on JG's athleticism, but so far he's not shown the desire or commitment to be really good defensively.
That is the real question to me. I would love to know the numbers on when Miller vs JG are in on D. What is the TO%, how often do they score? How often do we have lapses because of JG? Etc.He makes mistakes for sure. But he gets in the way, deflects and blocks. Miller does his best to stay in front. Miller does not alter shots or start the offense with a deflection.
You can’t compare them. They didn’t play the same position. You have to compare race and JG. If JG plays the 3 this year then you can argue if he’s better. I get it. Everyone wants JG to make that transition but he hasn’t yet. That is the real question to me. I would love to know the numbers on when Miller vs JG are in on D. I think JG adds more than Miller, unless Miller can shoot over 40% from three. Offensively JG is not that much e same position worse at 3s and much better at every other aspect.
