JFK files tomorrow

The Rest is History did a series on Kennedy's assassination last year. It was very good.

In the last episode, Sandbrook went over the theories and laid out two really important facts that I found persuasive.

One, Oswald was mentally ill, troubled as a child, and very erratic as an adult. The notion that the CIA or any other intelligence agency worth its salt would count on him to be the assassin is unlikely, to say the least. That's just not how those services operate.

Two, the very shot that everyone said was so difficult that it couldn't be done by a normal shooter with that rifle has been recreated using the same make of rifle.

As I posted some time ago, I visited the Book Depository Museum a couple months ago.

That window Oswald shot from is really, really close to the street.

Thanks......I'm not too interested in the theories that Oswald was a complete patsy or somehow framed....that just does not ring true or align with his actions after the fact. Or all his crazy activities before the fact. Or the difficulties involved in framing him. But I am coming around to the argument of mob involvement and a second shooter on the grassy knoll. I've seen some internet videos that were interesting along those lines. But most of those involve Oswald being framed. No one's come up with a good theory as to how/why the mob would have been involved with Oswald. That's what I'm looking for but not seeing.

I do feel like the CIA and FBI coverup is all after the fact and that neither agency knew at the time what had happened, but did know they had screwed things up big time. But......how do you explain Oswald's time in Mexico City?
The mob theory is that Bobby Kennedy was seriously pursuing Boss Carlos Marcello and was even taking steps to have him deported but he didn't like it. Jack Ruby is also said to have mob ties.

It seems it would have been easier to assassinate Bobby Kennedy instead of John Kennedy (if Bobby is the one that pissed off Marcello ) but there it is.

I remember reading about that.........also, remember the picture of Oswald standing on a sunny day with the rifle that was said to have been faked? It did seem like an unusual thing to take a picture of..................The whole damn thing is pretty crazy.
Huh? Lots of gunners pose with their weapons:

Not unusual at all. A person could spend all day downloading these photos of gunners posing with their guns.

The conspiracy profiters that deny or downplay Oswald's involvement also seem to ignore: (1) Oswald's palmprint on a rifle (2) which was capable of firing the "magic bullet" (3) which was found near the shell casings that were also found in the same building where Oswald worked and was repeatedly seen on Nov. 22, and (4) which was the same kind shown in Oswald's hands in the photo taken in his backyard.

Campisi's was right up the street from our neighborhood, would hit that place quite a bit. Old school...

In 1956, Piranio committed suicide and his Underboss Joe Civello took over operations. Both Civello and his Underboss Joe Campisi, claimed kinship with New Orleans La Cosa Nostra Boss Carlos Marcello. Through these men, Marcello controlled the various illegal rackets and vice business in Dallas, and Texas.

At the same time that Joe Civello achieved stature in Syndicate operations, so too he gained respectability for his many years of proprietorship of a high-end retail grocery and liquor store in the affluent neighborhood around Southern Methodist University. In the same neighborhood was the Campisi Brothers front operation — the Egyptian Room. Jack Ruby was a frequent visitor to Civello’s grocery and Campisi’s restaurant.

The Campisi boys (Joe's kids) would play hoops with us at The Premier Club in Dallas in the 80's and 90's, and Joe's granddaughter, and often-time hostess at Campsis's Egyptian, became a psuedo-local celebrity among us Park Cities / Lakewood cocksmen for obvious reasons.

Since you mentioned Marcello, check out what this says about Marcello and JFK.

It would be if you're planning on shooting someone with it....as I recall, it wasn't ordered too ;ong before the shooting(?).

I'm really most interested in the 2nd shooter theory and I had forgotten that there were 3 shell casings found in the 'nest'.

Seems like the House committee's conclusion that there were 4 shots has since been debunked in most expert's eyes. Meaning no 2nd shooter.

The CIA might have considered Oswald as an agent of some stripe at one point but I think he was honestly leftist, so I don't buy they knew it was coming.

Oswald in the Cuban embassy in Mexico City is interesting but could mean anything.

The theory that Ruby's shooting was a mob hit really makes no sense if the idea is that the mob put Oswald up to it. Why would they have entrusted Oswald with that job?

The most likely explanation is that the CIA, the FBI, the Cubans, and the Mob were all involved with certain types of people, one of which was Oswald. But that they did not know it was coming.

In light of everything that has come out, Oswald's claim that he was "a patsy" would be so much more interesting had he not also claimed to be completely innocent. Since the later claim fails, not much attention can be paid to the former. I still see no genuine evidence of a conspiracy.

Oswald ordered the rifle on March 12, 1963, and posed for the photo also in March, 1963:

That's six months ahead of time.

EDIT TO ADD: i couldn't find the date that JFK first decided to go to Dallas but it appears to have been no later than 10-4-63:

There seems to be conflicting information as to when the motorcade route was first established and whether it had been changed shortly before the shooting to go right beside the book building.

Oswald expected the gun to make him famous. First by killing the LTG, but he missed, then by killing the President. He didn’t have a lot of time to plan it, but he did kill JFK and obtained his fame, unfortunately.

No. The route they took was published in the Dallas papers a day or two prior which is how Oswald new it was coming by where he worked.

Mine are telling me she's full of shit.
The President said he was never on Epstein’s plane, but the flight logs were introduced in the Maxwell trial. He took seven flights on Epstein’s plane. Don’t know why Trump lied about that. However, none of the testimony at the Maxwell trial links him to the underaged girls. The conspiracy theories say there’s a “secret” black book that lists the perpetrators and other juicy information.

My baseless conspiracy theory is that Bondi is eliminating references to the President and his nefarious, kinky and illegal behavior from the black book! She’s had the files for two months now. Why not?

Campisi's is awesome. I make it there at least once a year since moving away from Dallas.

When are the RFK files coming out. The CIA hated the Kennedy's and had the supposed killer Sirhan Sirhan all hyped on brainwashing drugs from the MK Ultra program. Doris Day song was really Que Sirhan sirhan. Same thing with CIA plant Charles Manson. Part of the brainwashing program. US govt. pushed all the drug culture in the 60's and when it backfired, labeled the hippies etc as evil folks. We get an endless drug war that is just wastes money. The US govt. is such a huge pack of liars and coverup clowns.

You wrote, "The US govt. is such a huge pack of liars and coverup clowns."

To that, I add "especially now."
