I’m probably alone on this but I don’t much like what either program’s doing currently, at least “aesthetically” speaking-especially on offense.

But I feel much the same about nearly the whole conference these days. Most B1G games have become hard to watch, both in terms of play style and even more so in terms of the officiating.

I suspect the conference is ripe for a new coach with a more creative system (that isn’t as dependent on uncalled moving screens and other “physical” play that usually fails in the NCAA tournament) to come in and shake up the conference and its approach to the game.

I’d love to see that happen, but I’d hate to see it happen at Ohio State or Michigan.

I remember getting about half-hammered watching that fiasco at Union Jacks in Speedway with a bunch of other teacher/coach friends. Woke up the next morning with a serious headache and suddenly remembered what had happened while walking thru my living room on the way to the kitchen. Hauled off and kicked my ottoman and broke 3-4 toes. Too embarrassed to go to the doctor, so I limped around for a couple weeks in pain. Freaking Cleveland State! 😡😡😡

The Pac10 is going to take care of that.

4/13 game. But I also remember a couple banners.
I was counting post 1981 I guess. So I count one banner.

When Indiana won in 1981 , a friends Dad said "Bobby won't ever have a bad team again..." Meaning he'd absolutely have his pick of all the elite talent.

Should have had a banner in the Henderson years. Corruption stole one. Injury another.

One thing, when Bobby's team looked like it might be down on talent, he went out and got Dean Garrett and Keith Smart. Good move coach...

Let's see if Mike Woodson can pull it off. Should be easier now than when Bobby did it.
In addition to have skills the Hoosiers needed at the time, Keith Smart and Dean Garrett were quality people. Willing to be coached and buying in 100% to the system.

We were very fortunate to get them.

Of course you know the Big Ten did not penalize Purdue or Coach Keady.
I'd have to care in order to know.

Can't believe there's a conversation comparing Keady and Knight (let alone Painter and Knight). On an IU board no less.

It's like comparing hot dogs and prime rib. One is common and fun. The other, when done right, is exquisite.
