The guard play Crean's first year was worse. But this year reminds me of that. Indiana used to pride itself on it's BB IQ and solid shooting guards. Hopefully Archie can get us back to that. These guards are really awful all the way around. They can't shoot, can't execute a post pass, can't defend, and barely rebound. Just a waste of so many quality post players.
Why does everybody say they like Archie? He's got zero personality. He can't motivate a team. His Offense is horrible.
He makes Tom Crean look like Bob Knight.
The turnovers are inexcusable. It's like our players are in trance. I don't know that I've ever seen a more tentative IU team.

I've often wondered the same thing. For football, I can understand why people like Tom Allen even though he chits the bed constantly during games with bone headed plays. But he's very likable and easy to cheer for. You want the guy to succeed. He's be a great guy to drink a beer or hit a workout at the gym with. Archie's one of those guys you wouldn't walk across the street to meet.
They certainly don’t play intelligently for him, and he obliges their indifference by allowing it to occur without consequences.
To be fair, he built a team that made it to the Gator Bowl.

50k+ people knew an onside kick was coming. Kickoffs in college football can be fair caught so there is no reason to ever not defend an onside kick when up with 5 minutes left in a game. Any questions? Again, love the guy and I was at the game, but dude either needs to suppress his emotions, or hire an in game manager to keep him from doing moronic fake punts and missing onside kicks. Indiana Football has zero margin for error to be successful.
Archie will be in the tourney this year if they can protect home court and win a couple of road games. Not sure yet if that's a good thing or not.
Archie's offense is garbage. We weren't missing shots on good looks. We couldn't even get many good looks. Teams know just how to defend us.
Does Archie even drink beer? Does he like the game of golf? Fishing? I still know nothing about the man.
I was a bit worried listening to Archie's post Maryland press conference when he expressed the pessimism about the scheduling. Something along the lines of "Penn State next and they have a week off, then OSU who has a week off, maybe everyone gets a week off before they play us."
You can't manage the B1G schedule. Focus on preparation and getting guys minds setup to win...not to worry about how many days the opponent had off.

Interesting, I agree with you, BUT did you scoop up my original username going back to the Indy Star board and after I got kicked off Peegs circa 2005 or are you a re-owner of someone that also lost it? Good gosh, it looks like you really might be, based on join date No big deal, it's kind of amusing to me after all that time. I liked it, but keep it. My only concern is I've be reactivated here for about two years, and I've not seen anything from that username in a long, long time. However, there are a couple people here that accuse others of having multiple accounts and user names. I was recently accused and said hey … I've been here for like 20 years, used to be "you now when", back in the day and since Peegs folded, I lucked out and got a fresh start, and could re-sign up with my email . I haven't seen you post anything for a long time, maybe never here since Peegs, keep the name but please don't do anything to suggest you are me if you intend to be active again.
