I was thinking about going to Btown to watch the game.
I live an hour away and I don’t want to drive home after possibly consuming some adult beverages.
So I was looking at rooms for that night.
They were pretty much all in the 2 to 3 hundred dollar range which is ridiculous.
I googled Indiana winter graduation ceremony and of course it’s the day of the game.
I know price gouging is the American way but it sucks.

???? Are you sure you're posting on the correct board ? The IU football playoff game is in South Bend - on Friday night (12/20)

$200-$300 a night in B-town is pretty standard. Unless you stay at one of trashy places, I'm not sure I've seen anything under $190+ in years. Price gouging is what went down during he Michigan and Nebraska games....$1,400 a night at The Graduate and $800+ at the others.

Yes,I was thinking about coming to Bloomington to watch the game and staying over night.
Prices are ridiculous because of people coming into town for the winter graduation.

The La Quinta Inn that night is 200
The next Friday night they are 83.
I’ve stayed in Bloomington many times at nice hotels for under 100 dollars.

Gotcha. My bad. I thought you meant that you were coming to town to see the game live. There's a home Men's BB game at noon the next day. That may be driving the rates and occupancy some as well.
