I agree with you on this one. This team is close to being good right now. They need to play smarter down the stretch, hit their free throws, and have a winning mentality the final 7 or 8 minutes of the game. Right now they play timid and scared to lose instead of being confident and taking it to their opponent. Hopefully they beat Nebraska Wednesday which will get them into the tournament and then find that extra level at the end of games that right now they are missing. If they do that and have a little luck, they could make the final four.

Ha, I’m not saying that I think they’ll make the final 4 but it’s a year where any team in it could go on a run. There’s a better chance that they lose in the first round but I do give this team a chance to go on a deep run. They just need to finish games that they’re in.
 
I like the matchups in rounds one and two, but I don't see this team beating Maryland. Sr PG who should already be pro on the most talented team in the B10 (and bigs who will make us have to play a smaller lineup). I just don't see them beating Maryland this year. I hope he is right, though....

I'm with you. Beating Nebraska is a given. Getting a win over Penn State is likely, but that third game in three days against a great Maryland team just doesn't seem doable.

It would be more likely that this team carries an elephant up to the peak of Mount Everest than it strings three BTT wins together. I am just hoping we beat Nebraska. That will be hard enough.

Did you think it was a given that we'd beat Rutgers last year?

I'm not sure anything is a given with this team, and I know it's not when it comes to the BTT. We definitely should beat NB, they are down players and we have everything to play for, but we had a lot to play for vs PU at home and vs WI.

The FCC shut that scat down about a decade ago. Doled our the last permits they were ever gonna make available then shuttered the walk-up service window. For those of us who were there, it was like the closing of the MF frontier.

Did you hear Dakich say today that Archie was subbing too much during the games? I said that a few days ago and a bunch of the people on hear disagreed with me. A coach should not replace a player during a game when he is on a run. It kills the Hoosiers' momentum.

Regardless of what you think of Cavanaugh, he is 100% correct on Dakich. He is Maury Povich, Jerry Springer, Skip Bayless. Guys that will say anything for ratings whether they believe it or not...
