Interesting take that if the new deal is passed it may benefit colleges without football. Each school will have around $20 million, the football schools will spend 75% or so on football. A school without football will not have $20 million, but it may well have enough to fund equal in basketball, or even more.

There is a good chance we have had a verbal agreement with DVD for several weeks. There is also a good chance within that time period we had to up the offer because someone else kicked those tires. It was at that time McCollum was approached.

Yes I’ve heard since February. We may have lowballed him to start with. Good thing we were competing with Iowa. It will be interesting to see who wins in the long run. Beard would have taken the job if offered. He wasn’t. Mark and Zeke have laid out why with Mark’s reasoning being the major hurdle. The job is a pressure cooker and they didn’t trust the drinking aspect. I have no idea about Otz …he may have been approached and declined.

Beard wasn't offered the job because winning isn't that important to the powers that be. It's been that way since Knight. I do hope we quit giving coaches 4 years and start cycling through them in 2 or 3 years like the NBA. It's our best chance of getting a good coach.
If that was true, Beard would haven't take the job. The reality is, we're the worst run program in the country the past 2 decades. We've constantly stepped on our own crank time and time again. Last year it was clear Woodson should have been fired and May hired. This year we should have hired Beard and passed to take a flyer on Devries. Was McDermott pursued? If yes, was he offered the job?

No clue on McDermott. I’m guessing he’s content where he is at. Beard is at Ole Miss….he would have walked to Bloomington. This goes back to the Knight firing. No identity. No program.

Honestly this scares me. I’ll tell you why. I am not my daughter’s bio father. I came into her life when she was just short of two. I’ve literally never existed with my now wife in a situation that didn’t involve the kid.
Scared indeed.
We also only really like about 50% of the movies and shows the other does but she can’t stand (for obvious physical beauty reasons) to be apart from me if we’re both in the house together alone.
Might have to break her of that one.
