Hall of Famer
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana baseball team held its annual banquet on Sunday morning at the Henke Hall of Champions Country Club and honored seniors and handed out awards for the 2015 season.

In addition to players being recognized for their conference and national awards, Head Coach Chris Lemonis awarded the program's annual team awards.

Returning sophomore Logan Sowers earned Rookie of the Year honors. An All-Big Ten Freshman Team selection last season, Soweres was a four-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week (3/2, 3/9, 4/14, 5/18), the most honors by any Big Ten freshman and tied for the most weekly conference recognitions in the league. Sowers tied for team lead with 15 doubles, finished second with six home runs, third with 93 total bases and fourth with 36 runs batted in. He hit his first career grand slam in the series finale vs. Ohio State.

Locking up Gold Glove awards were Casey Rodrigue and Will Nolden. Rodrigue was one of four Hoosiers to start all 59 games (49 at 2B and 10 at SS). As a senior, the infielder recorded a .965 fielding percentage. Nolden was a reliable outfielder for the Hoosiers, starting and playing in 58 games (53 at RF and 5 at CF).

Ryan Halstead was named the Relief Pitcher of the Year. The San Francisco Giant draftee led Indiana with 29 appearances, the fourth-most in Indiana history and also led the Hoosiers with 10 saves, the second-most in IU history and the Big Ten's fourth-best mark in 2015. His 55 strikeouts ranked third on the Hoosiers.

Earning Offensive Player of the Year honors was Craig Dedelow. All-Big Ten Third Team and Big Ten All-Tournament Team selection, Dedelow led Indiana with a .325 batting average, 76 hits (T-10th in Big Ten), 116 total bases (10th), seven home runs (T-10th) and a .496 slugging percentage (ninth), while his 37 RBI were tied for first and 23 extra-base hits were tied for second.

Luke Harrison was named the program's Pitcher of the Year. The St. Louis Cardinals' organization product ranks third all-time at IU in appearances (87) and in Big Ten games, ranks first all-time at IU with 1.44 earned run average and tied for eighth with 31 appearances. Harrison led the Hoosiers with 61 strikeouts in 2015 while posting a 2.02 ERA in 25 appearances.

Taking home team MVP honors was Brad Hartong. A member of the Minnesota Twins organization, Hartong finished his career at Indiana with a .307 batting average in 108 games. During the 2015 campaign, he was named to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List, starting 55 games at the catcher position. A great defensive player, Hartong led the Big Ten in caught stealing with 21.

Scott Effross, Kyle Hart, Colby Stratten and Chris Sujka each earned the Hoosier Award, an award presented to student-athletes who best exemplify the attitude and character expected of an IU Baseball Player.
