It was Hegseth

Maybe for a Morton's or Ruth's Chris, but the restaurant was The Capitol Burger. Most entrees are $20-25. Not an exotic drink list either. Kids meals even less. Easter gifts for grandkids? Chocolate bunnies, not Gucci handbags.

Tightwad... We always give our grandkids 200 plus in cash on nearly every significant event..., and that's in spite of having long term medical bills...

Sure she could have used a card but they're have been plenty of times I haven't so I understand... Remember the evening was just starting too... Maybe rolled into everything I mentioned would have been an attempt by her to help pay for at least one less well off families airfare and/or hotel expenses...

Who knows the detailed breakdown but 3 Grand is nothing in the D.C. area...

Instead of giving her shit for having cash on her you ought to be outraged that any unvetted non-family member was even allowed on the same floor with, much less right next to her...

Total security failure....

Of course given your TDS and all..., you guys just find it humorous that it happened to her...

//By the way Red, get off the recumbent and try a real bike... You get any rounder at your height and your wife will be able to just roll you down the sidewalk...//

You'll never hear leftists say things like "I think it's fine for men who identify as women to be in women's bathrooms" because even they know it's insane. Same for "I think it's fine we have millions streaming across our border unimpeded so they can sign up for our social programs".

It's why so many can't actually come out and admit what they think. They know the ridicule they'll face.

As Simon and Garfunkle once said: Everything looks worse in black and white.
You never hear MAGATs say, "Wow...Trump really screwed the pooch on this appointment. Pete has totally made a mockery of national security. Trump was 100% wrong, needs to apologize, and make a change, because even they know he is insane. Same for "I think it's fine that millions of people's 401ks have dollars streaming out of their accounts for no good reason.

It's why so many can't actually come out and admit what they think. They know the ridicule they'll face.

Blah, blah, blah Simon and Garfunkle blah blah blah.

This has actually been a great thread for me. All the TDS lunatics spending their Easter bitching about things they cant control, because their party got drilled in the election. They're on the sideline now hurling whatever horsesh*t they can muster, and it's really fun to watch.
You’re afflicted with Trump Devotion Syndrome, the real TDS.

I'm up for adoption if you're spending like that.

Sorry, I'd consider it but while you meet the primary criteria (a love of INDIANA Football)...

I'd have a hard time believing a complete exorcism of left wing principles would be effective and we can't have anyone around the grandkids who supports a party that is all for fire bombing RNC HQ's, Tesla dealerships, and defacing other people's property that they disagree with; not to mention supporting those who actively harass Jews, put murderous assassins on a pedestal, and hope to find a way to keep dangerous gangbangers in the country...

No more Democrats for our family... We already have one on the extended other side and that's enough...

Now I'd like to believe that you personally don't actually agree with all those abominations I listed (you seem like a relatively normal fellow) but the problem is that your official political party does, so..., if you call yourself a Democrat that's the bed you're laying in...

The groceries would be 3% cheaper without the use of cards…this is not hard
Sure...and they'd be 10% cheaper without the use of packaging. They'd be cheaper if the store didn't have air conditioning and lights. So what? The business and consumers decided that it was a price that they were comfortable paying. Oh yeah...and the price at your mulch store could be 2% cheaper already if they didn't mark up the cost of using a credit card. While you're crusading!

Duh... common sense says that of course a more aerodynamic & faster bike requires less energy to ride per unit time. But your link is to stationary bikes. Never owned one...

Should Tour de France riders get their bikes from Walmart in order to burn more calories?

Still no link to posts by "all of us" expressing pure joy at Noem being robbed?

So you’re a speed man. Pretty bad ass. Speed kills.

But why not just a regular racing bike? I have friends that are really into it that do semi-pro races and stuff. And a better workout.

Are there recumbent races? Do you partake?

Congenital spinal stenosis (born with a narrowed spine).

-Neck C4/C5 spinal fusion in 2013. Think... Peyton Manning surgery
-Lumbar back spinal fusion in 2015.

I can ride a recumbent bike as much as I like. 167 miles so far this month, ~500 miles for the year to date . A regular bike would destroy my back in about a half hour and I'd be hobbling for days or have numb fingers and toes.

I have explained this numerous times. I rode upright bikes for decades, doing multiple century rides (100 miles a pop). No can do, any more.

Do you think your body full of pharmaceuticals is destroying your skeleton and causing you to wither away?

I think there are. I merely do charity rides or fun rides, though. I do a 35 miler this Saturday to raise money for adoption assistance. My favorite ride though is probably the Hilly Hundred every October. 2 days, 100 miles, hills around Bloomington & Ellettsville

My genetic spinal stenosis was diagnosed as a teenager at the Mayo clinic. I noticed persistent numbness in my fingers and toes. It has nothing to do with aging or drug use, other than the fact that spinal discs degrade over the decades, and when mine do, they impinge on my spine and cause pain and/or numbness.

Playing lots of basketball probably didn't help with my knees, though

Thank you for saying I was correct.

No crusade here…

Women. My wife writes a check for everything.
No one I know has written a check in years. I’m collecting money for a group gift and none of the 20 women on the list are giving me checks. I doubt that women do any more than men.

Haha. Wait until the grandkids are old enough to make up their own minds. You’ll have some Democrats.

Anecdotal to be sure but the “trust the science” crowd and vaccine zealots are always pale, blue lipped, sickly folk with spinal problems and all manner of other ailments. At least in my experience.

It's only a matter of time. Only Trump's stubbornness is keeping him around, but eventually that stubbornness will give way to Trump's fickleness, and that will be all she wrote for Pete.
This is just a warm up. Wait until Hegseth/DOGE go looking at Defense purchasing, sourcing of goods/services. Fraud/Waste/Abuse…some people are going to lose their minds

Anecdotal to be sure but my WWII-vet nurse aunt, who was a lead RN at a major hospital and a great "trust the science" person, lived to 101 and gave up bike riding (recumbent!) at 100.
