Israel under attack from Hamas

You sound a lot like the apologists in denial or defending what’s going on. I’ll bet you it’s real, loser never comes back. You wanna put your money where your mouth is, or stfu?
Are you saying anyone here is in denial or defending any of this?

Meh. Not strong enough on the death of 14 American citizens and taking of American hostages. All he's talking about is lending Israel our "expertise" on hostage negotiation and recovery (w/r/t the murders and hostage taking). This calls for a stronger deterrent signal. Otherwise, Americans are sitting ducks around the globe.

As for not mentioning Iran, here's hoping that is because we are going to work behind the scenes to hurt them and have plausible deniability.

Kinda shocking an American President can't take questions from the press on an issue like this. That's not a good look.
At this point it's not about the words. It's about the actions to come. These are the early days. But the ground shifted in the Middle East on Saturday.

I’m going to disagree here a bit and give Biden some credit. Sometimes, you keep quiet about your plans/thoughts/actions . . . .and, then, BOOM-SHAKA-LAKA, you drop the fvckin’ hammer.

A joint special ops raid. Take out or, better yet, capture and execute, the Hamas leadership in Gaza and Qatar. World-wide viewing of the execution, after the fair trial, of course.
Disagree. The previous administration touted its “maximum pressure” Iran policy, and it killed Qasim Suleimani in a surprise secret move.

But we've passed the point for pressure. We're in the action stage. Less said the better.

Neither of our political parties or anyone in them had a damn thing to do with the horrors that have occurred in Israel these last three days. You and others like you have chosen to make this a basis to express your distain for a political party and a president and establish blame that does not exist. Hundreds of innocent people are dead including women, children, babies, and you guys want to use it to point fingers and play the blame game.

I never read any of your solutions other than kill them all etc, etc. Your lack of sensitivity is truly unacceptable.
I didn’t blame either party for what happened. Everyone knows Iran assisted Hamas in these atrocities.

Israel needs strong support from Biden and the US, period. This no time to understand Hamas feelings. They’re as bad as Hitler and the Nazis. They need destroyed. We need to be standing side by side with Israel.

How’s this for sensitive?

9 years old and still holds up. We need more Jon Stewarts.

Earlier in this thread you talked about how us Americans were extremely narcissistic to think the Palestinian and Russian incursions were in some way due to American action / inaction.

Yet you share a video from 9 years ago, when we had many of the same names and faces running the American foreign policy establishment. That was the last time Russians and Palestinians were on the move at roughly the same time.

And you’re dumb enough to believe it’s some sort of coincidence.

I'm as pro-Israel as anyone, but I am skeptical. I don't want to see proof, but someone should verify.

Nic Robertson from CNN on video. CBS is reporting the same in interview with the general. French journalists confirming earlier in the thread as well. It happened. Multiple sources that everyone would say are reputable are reporting it from members of the media that were on the ground when they were cleaning it up.

BLM isn’t a person. The squad is more than one person.

So do you condemn BLM and it's leadership that stands with Hamas? Do you condemn Talib, AOC, Omar, and Bush for either siding with Hamas at most and not condemning Hamas' actions at least? Talib could not even comment on a question regarding the beheading of babies. Just ignored it and walked on by.

Per CNN, “Israel has released all restraints on troops in their war with Hamas.” This is gonna get ugly. As JFK said in response in to the Joint Chiefs proposing to him a preemptive nuclear attack on the Soviet Union, “And we call ourselves the human race.”
It will be ugly but it has to be done. The modern low intensity conflicts are worse than just getting things over with IMO. Instead of a spasm of violence that is awful but resolves the issue over a short time you have stop and start conflicts that drag on in low intensity for decades. You just spread the death and destruction over multiple generations with no end in site.

Take the gloves off and knock them out.

Of course I do. Why would you ask such a ridiculous question? I’ve spent the last three days texting and talking with dozens of Jewish friends with family in Israel. ( I haven’t seen what anyone but Talib has said or done)

It's been such a timely source of news. Between this and Ukraine, it's a game changer tbh. If you like to follow conflicts, there is no better tool. Just have to sift through the crap.

It isn't possible to sift through the crap, it is like sifting through crap at the waste water treatment plant. People post things that they haven't vetted in any way just to make sure they are first. Or worse, tweet something to inflame not caring if it is true. I am quite willing to wait until night and read institute for understanding war's blog. They seem to take their role of trying to present the facts very seriously.

I read fox's site, listen to CNN on the radio, read BBC and for this, Jerusalem Post which has the below article which surprised me. Being first is useless if one isn't confident. Knowing something 10 minutes early isn't worth the risk

As news goes, above is as worthless as BLM's tweet. I don't care what BLM tweets, I don't care what AOC says, even if she is right here. Neither represents me any more than Q-Anon does. But sadly everyone now knows the secret, be inflammatory and people will follow, repost, tout, etc. Our system rewards the figurative bomb throwers, and Twitter is a huge part of that.

still waiting
What exactly are you waiting on? Crazy, what are you waiting on? I must have missed something. I’ve spent much of the day texting and messaging with girls who have people in Israel. So tell me what I’ve missed?
