Israel attacks Iran's nuclear and military infrastructure.

I'm thinking two used in each area targeted? The first drop and then rhe next one a few minutes later in same area to penetrate even farther?

Hopefully the used cheap dumb bombs all around the outside area tearing up roads as well.
Oh, the next few days will be extremely interesting as the damage assessments roll in.

And you have to believe the Israelis are conducting some crucial missions as well, possibly to further decapitate the government and military, leading to the ultimate goal of regime change.

The second one goes in a matter of seconds later through same impact point allowing for deeper penetration.

I’m sure we have Tomahawk shooters in the region. I haven’t read any details on the mission yet.

MSNBC (via scroll) reports 30 Tomahawks were launched from submarines in theater...

FOX reports the Tomahawks hit the other two sites (other than Fordow)... Supposedly only Fordow was hit by "Bunker Busters" dropped from B2s... This is per Jennifer Griffin...

Jennifer Griffin made two great points:

A shout out to the Air Force Tanker Aircraft personnel who made this possible... (among many, many other unsung "support" outfits).

She also mentioned that her sources who had dealt with this type of operation in the past said it usually took a minimum of a month to get the entire package ready to go... (when giving her a timeline as to when we "might" go)... She pointed out its been about 2 weeks since the Camp David meeting with Hegseth and the National Security principals...
Shoutout to our boys at Grissom AFB, who were undboubtedly involved with their tankers.

They can still lob missiles at us in theater, but I think the biggest worry would be the potential for terrorism here if they truly do have sleeper cells in country.
Cyber attacks too. They may not be able to cripple the country, but they can cause problems, like they did after stuxnet…

Back to my recommendation that we warn Iran that we will sink their entire Navy if they attempt to close the strait.

I understand their thinking, but I also know that it is entirely futile. Late in the war, Japanese sailors were asked to go on suicide charges, lacking the Army's history of that they were not happy. I suspect some Iranian ships will not press home any attacks with great vigor.

Not futile. I seriously doubt Iran wants to risk the loss of their entire Navy. We could also keep all oil tankers from leaving Iranian ports. Yes, both would be acts of war, BradStevens.

We might not need to do anything... It's my understanding the the Chinese and the rest of the world will be more affected by this move (the closure of the Straits) then we are initially...

My "guess" is that later, at a time of our choosing and with the support of the rest of the world, we could systematically destroy any and all of their Naval assets, ports, and infrastructure to whatever extent we so desired to effect the reopening of the Straits...

The Iranians played right into our hands with this move (in my opinion) and it was almost certainly anticipated by our planners....

The Chinese, India, Japan and South Korea are reportedly the largest consumers of oil that is shipped via the Straits of Hormuz...

The Saudis anticipated this quite awhile back and built a pipeline to circumvent a potential closure of the Straits... This won't mitigate the entire issue but if they bring their pipeline up to 100% capacity it should help...

Who the Saudis chose to sell to and at what volumes will be key...

General Overview Article ( with a great satellite photo of the Straits) :

They’ve disrupted shipping before and it’s been a problem because we wouldn’t make them pay enough to stop it completely. This would probably stop it completely.

They can temporarily disrupt it

I literally just finished watching the Thunderbirds at Dayton. F16s are great planes, and a lot of "holy crap" moments. Not even close to our to more modern planes. Iran has to be as aware of that as I am

But I heard a theory that Iran might want to carry out this war forever. So who knows

It would be "Economic Suicide" for Iran to close the Straits... (Sec. of State Rubio)

I live here and haven't been to the Air Show once. I went to one at Miramar years ago and to Thunder over the Ohio once. That's enough. I've seen plenty of flight operations in my life. ;)

Several years ago, and I’ve told this story before.
I went to the air show at Hulman field. Terre Haute Indiana. First time seeing the F22 demonstrated, and by Lt Col Carlos “cowboy” something.
He did shit that was unimaginable, <50’ off the ground. Sustained Vertical, close enough that the concrete was spalling from the jet wash.

I’ve been to a dozen shows since. BIG shows Not one F22 show has been within the top 10% compared to Carlos!

I’ve always wondered if he went too far and got his wings clipped.

Jennifer Griffin on Fox said in all the years she's covered Washington and the military she's never seen anything like this. In the ability to catch everyone off guard and keep everything this secret. Yet you've said Trump can't be trusted with sensitive material. Lol.
Keeping a secret is what they are supposed to do every time.

Does trump want a dog treat and pat on the head every time he doesn't screw it up?

Doesn’t China itself get like 3x the amount of their own fuel compared to the U.S. and the European Union combined coming through the Strait of Hormuz?

Real accurate damage assessments aren’t yet possible. I hope the President is eventually right that is monumental and the sites were obliterated.
