Hey, I'm in Indy for my annual oncologist appt. and came into the hotel late last night - like 11pm
There were probably 30 guys in uniform (Army fatigues) checking in. I didn't say anything and went to the elevator. Also waiting there was an officer ( what I thought was a Major) waiting there. Reall young guy. Then I looked a little closer and he's Navy - a Lt. Commander. Said he'd just got promoted.
I said what are you doing with this Army unit? He said there were 5 other Navy guys there. Never said why. I said something like "I guess this isn't an exercise" and he said "Yeah, with all the stuff going on over there.....". So, I got the idea. He was able to maintain OPSEC.
So..... interesting. I assume they caught a transport out today, but have no idea. Maybe they were going to Crain for training? The Navy guy said he'd been training with the Army and did mention something about 'special forces, but not door kickers".
Very strange.
Best leave it at that... I could elaborate but at this point it seems like s bad idea... Maybe a year from now... ((I'm not pretending to have indepth mission info, just who and possibly why info))
