Is anyone truly confident that we can win 2 of the next 3 games

and assure ourselves a spot in the Big Dance?
I regret how low my expectations are. We had 20 minutes of solid ball against Purdue, but otherwise, there is little I've seen that is reassuring.
Washington altho the worst team in the conference, has the big bodies to throw at Ballo. I fear a turd coming up there tomorrow, especially if no Reneau. A loss there ends the chances unfortunatelty. I hope I'm wrong.

I keep saying that. But if we turned around and beat Oregon, OSU, and won a game or two in BTT, we’d probably still get in.

But I likely will say “we’re done” if we lose tomorrow.

Why limit ourselves? We’re capable of winning out, why shouldn’t we set that as our goal? I believe we are fully capable of winning our last three games, and running the table during the Big Ten tournament. Will that happen? Remains to be seen. But we are capable!

Well they were picked to finish 2nd in the big ten so they should expect to win every game

"Our goal?" Don't you mean "their goal"? Really doesn't matter what us fans set as "our goal". If the team isn't on board with it then it won't happen, and that's what I expect. The way this year has gone, even if IU gets in they'll get blown out by a 5 or 6 seed the first game. Really looking forward to that. I'd just as well get it over with, get the new coach in here and start working on next year.

I wish I didn't completely agree with you.

When I think about how much "talent" we all believed we had preseason; and how I really don't make an effort to watch them now, it's disheartening. My biggest fear is that this team and CMW (far more than the players) has killed my passion for IU ball.

The next hire will either help heal and return or finally finish off IU hoops for good. The 40 and under IU fans are dwindling with their interest and the older IU fans who remember greatness are dying off. This is the last chance for this sleeping giant to finally wake up and get back to work.

I’m with you in terms of not being certain I’ll ever get the love back for IU basketball that I once had. It’s such a grind to watch far too often, with very limited success. Everyone points to the new coach being the answer, but honestly, without Stevens or May none of the names bandied about more the meter much for me. I’m sure I will still follow, but the passion for me is gone. Woody finally parked it in the pond.

No. I think Oregon is basically Purdue with better athletes and they match up better against IU than PU does.

Washington plays hard. That may be tougher than expected too. Plus, there is still a chance OSU shows up on Leal-day. Crean can come out and give Galloway and Leal little framed Helms trophy banners after Bruce Thornton punts the ball off the scoreboard.

I mean they could maybe slip in but given how the last two ncaa's went well will probably get schooled by 20. I am just ready for a new chapter to start.

YES we can

They have been playing much better since the dust settled. Woodson has relaxed as well. Won three of the last four with wins over PU and MSU. They will make the tournament if this momentum continues. They will make a statement in the tournament if it continues.

I am 100% confident we CAN win 2 of 3. I am NOT as confident we WILL win 2 of 3. I think we have a good chance of winning 2.

In other words, we could lose these last three games more likely than we win the last three. Likewise, if not, finishing 1-3 is more likely than 2-3.

I know Woody wants to finish the season strong, just to salvage his coaching legacy on a more positive note. Maybe he’ll be delivering extra dynamic locker room speeches, the likes of which haven’t been heard since RMK prowled the sidelines.
