Inflation, deficit and interest rates would be higher under Trump than Harris

That's one of the perks of being a teacher, I guess. I took it in the a#$ the past 4 years though. My wages haven't kept up with inflation.

I was lucky enough to be young enough and able to ride through it and come out on the other end. If I was 10 years older could have been a major problem. Knew some people that had their world blown up

Or if younger coming out of school would have probably been even worse. The college grads from that period got a really shit deal.

WSJ’s reporting is to the left of the NYT. It’s only the editorial page that has some Conservative bent.
You're wrong. Again. Their reporting is right down the middle.

And were all those economists they surveyed who said Trump will be worse than Harris on interest rates, inflation and the deficit lefties? Lol.

Watch the Trump train wreck at the Economic Club of Chicago today. Guy is a fkn mess.
I saw part of it. What a shitshow. The guy is doubling-down on more tariffs and destroying trade, despite being presented with data demonstrating that his tariffs will result in the loss of hundreds of thousands of US jobs, they'll reignite inflation and cause other damage to the US economy.

Trump is not better for the economy than Harris. Nor was he better than Biden and Obama. This is yet another con job he's pulled off.

Right down the middle according to who? "Allsides" I read the WSJ 2-3 times a week. It's reporting is left wing.

WSJ engages in professional, objective reporting. To people like you, that counts as "left wing."
That is interesting because even according to Bowl's own arbiter, respondents of all political persuasions rated WSJ as "lean left" or "left". Seems like there is unanimity except for the likes of you, Mark and Bowl. But I'm sure the problem is with everyone else.......

Wall Street Journal Rated Lean Left in Aug. 2023 Blind Bias Survey; AllSides Keeps Center Rating Following Sept. 2023 Editorial Review

The Wall Street Journal was rated Lean Left (-2.76). A total of 792 people rated WSJ. AllSides conducted an Editorial Review and opted to keep WSJ's bias rating as Center (-0.2).

Respondents who rated their own bias as Left, Lean Left, Center, and Right rated WSJ as Lean Left; respondents with a Lean Right bias rated it Left. Republicans rated WSJ as Left; Democrats and Indpendents rated it Lean Left.

More economists say Trump's policies are inflationary and will "drive consumer prices sharply higher."

Largely the same clowns who said BBB would not be inflationary.

If you are putting any stock in what they have to say, you are really and truly helpless.

Let’s see. Trump was president. Inflation wasn’t a problem. Harris wouldn’t have changed anything Biden did and inflation was horrible.

But this time …. 🤣🤣

We've been down this road a million times.

Do you seriously believe the US would have avoided inflation if Trump had been reelected in 2020? Lol.

Rising inflation was a global phenomenon. Biden's stimulus contributed to inflation but also facilitated an economic recovery that was faster than most of the rest of the world.

It really is amazing. They'll fall for anything if some journalist on their team writes an article. We're f#cked as a country.

“Of the 16 Nobel Prize-winning economists who signed Tuesday's letter, at least nine made similar warnings about the economic danger of electing Trump in 2016. Their letter this election cycle highlights their fears about inflation.”

Have you been duped yet again?

It’s quite clear at this point that the Biden admin. had/ has a cadre of Nobel laureates willing to rubber stamp whatever he desires.

They come out in 2021 and write a letter saying BBB wouldn’t be inflationary. Then those SAME people come out this summer and say Trump would be more inflationary than Harris. And yet there are still people willing to pick up their opinion and run with it.

People like Bowl make me weep for our politics.

Read the entire article, Einstein. And also the one I led off the thread with.

Do you think Trump's and the Repub party's economic policies will benefit the lower and middle classes?

Bowl is hyper amped against trump and can’t see anything but orange.
Yes, just like the dozens of high-ranking Republican officials who served in his administration. You know, the officials who say he's reckless, dangerous and unfit. But what the hell do they know. They only worked closely with him.

I don’t them. Do you? Cheney types? I remember less conflict during his tenure

All Republican policies are inflationary. For that matter, so are all Democratic policies. Elect a bunch of Libertarians, and I bet we'd see some deflation.
Or………………………………..wait for it………………………not yet……………..elect some f#cking Bitcoiners

I need an English translation on that first sentence.

"Less conflict?" In what sense? Internally? People were quitting or getting fired left and right. His administration was a revolving door - - like nobody's ever seen before.

I don’t care about internal conflict. I care about outcomes. Do you notice a pattern with your paranoia? We had low rates, low inflation under trump. 41 year high under Biden/Harris. But this time…..

There were no wars during trump’s tenure. Biden takes office the World explodes. But trump is a danger.

The border had reasonable numbers. Harris czar it explodes and now we have problems.

You deal in fear and paranoia and speculation while ignoring facts.

Grow up

You can't help yourself, can you. When someone disagrees with you, you always have to make it personal. I've seen you do it with Aloha and Ohio and a number of other good posters.

Well, since you opened the door I'll walk through it. With the possible exception of danc, you're the biggest asshole here. And a head case to boot.

So, are Americans using their credit cards to buy toilet paper and pay their electric bills or luxuries like Super Grande lattes?
