If it's good enough for Indiana, why not PA or MI or WI?

I'm actually going to stick with PA, because it's the most obvious case of deliberate attempts to sew confusion and convince gullible people they're 'being "Cheated"... The Fetterman campaign put out a psa today to warn their voters of what will happen, but what will be interesting to see is how much of an early lead, if any, Mastriano has...Which is ironic, because Mastriano is more than a little responsible for the deliberate confusion that will play out in PA...It happened in 2020, and it's a guarantee it will play out over the next few days as well...

So I'm working early voting in Deep Red, GOP Controlled IN. When we opened in Oct, we had people deposit their ballots ,in the provided envelopes into the ballot boxes we had on hand. On a daily basis we collected ballots in envelopes, and after those filled up and were replaced they were locked up with everything being overseen by both a D and a R.

However, once it turned to Nov, we now have actual scanners at the check out. Instead of depositing the ballots and envelopes, each voter feeds their ballot into the scanner ,which reads and stores them and we keep the envelope. Those are retained and they include a matching serial number tied to each ballot that was issued simultaneously...In addition, starting Nov 1 we had teams of D and R, opening and scanning the ballots we had collected previously prior to Nov 1. So when Mark voted he dropped his ballot into the box, but had he voted a week later he'd have scanned his ballot instead.

Consequently, those ballots have been tallied, or will be tallied (we closed at noon today), and the totals will be added to the state totals that you see as soon as the polls close. Their may be some last minute mail ballots come in tomorrow, but other than that the IN early vote totals will be tabulated by and large by the times polls close at 6 pm tomorrow. That's in a GOP controlled state where Registered Republicans outnumber Democrats...

So in PA where Dems outnumber Pubs in registration, but the gerrymandered Legislature is controlled by people like Mastriano, the absentee ballots from early in person and mail are not allowed to be opened until the day AFTER election day. The same thing happened in 2020 where early ballots was a county by county decision, but by and large they were counted LAST. Anybody with half a brain knows why the Pub Legislators/Trump wanted it that way.

Had all those early ballots been counted prior to election day and then released when the polls close (like they do in IN,OH,FL etc...) Trump would have been behind from the outset and never caught up. Then he wouldn't be able to claim initially that he "won", or to subsequently claim that "late votes" were counted illegally. It's really pretty black and white (or should I say Red Misty) why Trump insisted it be done that way in 2020. You've got to be extremely gullible (and ignorant) to look at what happened in those states and find any rational, non-partisan reason for counting early votes last.

Just remember when the Pubs cry foul in any states that go from "red to blue" they are to blame. And it's intentional on their part...

Yes this has been discussed many times...loony the way PA counts votes.

I know it's been discussed ad nauseum... But we still have people who post nonsense about "late votes" in PA that robbed Trump in 2020. And if for some reason Fet is never able to overtake Oz's early lead, we'll still have people whining about Shapiro stealing the election from Mastriano, should Mastriano somehow be in the lead following the election day vote...

Also, in case you aren't aware the GOP Legislators in PA, led by Mastriano, tightened election law in 2021. Now the early votes aren't just counted last, but they can't even open the envelopes until the day after election day. So the only results that will be known at all on election day are that day's results. Wonder who that favors?

Just Doug and his fellow "democracy lovers" making sure their vote, and hopefully no one else's counts...

Learned what exactly?
Filing lawsuits after the election to enforce the election laws on the books in individual states was ineffective. For example, after the ballot was separated from the mail in ballot envelope, with the state election law required evidence, no reasonable remedy was possible. Also, ballot counting must be bi-partisan, or it cannot be trusted that the ballot box wasn’t stuffed.

Yup. Best to get them thrown out ahead of time.

… “were replaced they were locked up with everything being overseen by both a D and a R.”

Overseen by both a D and an R didn’t happen everywhere nationwide in 2020.

Harvested ballots, where legal, are never really subject to two objective observers.
