Icepocalypse 2025.

Close enough for STL. Chicago style often gets au jus over the top. I skip the pickled veggies.
Right. I’m going to go down there this week and tell them just meat bread and juice. I don’t think we’ll have any problems

If they hold it in their bare hand to dip it like on the bear I’ll throw it out

It’s currently icing here on top of the 8 inches of snow we’ve already received.

That just seems gratuitous and unnecessary.

To make matters worse, as of now my kind and benevolent employer still hasn’t canceled work for tomorrow.

And the cherry on top of the poop sandwich is I’m dangerously low on booze.
I’m guessing your place of employment canceled work since Gibson county is essentially “shut down”

We had it come down steady late morning/early afternoon, then it pretty much tapered off. I'd call it 4-5". Unlike my wife, I don't look at the hour by hour forecast and plan accordingly -- I'll keep an eye out for what's actually happening and deal with what's in front of me when the time comes.

I wouldn't be surprised if I'm told not to bother coming in tomorrow (Monday). They'll be open and delivering, but I go in late to pick up the slack after the morning rush gets dealt with and then I go to Bedford. I doubt there will be a morning rush and the Bedford run may get cancelled. Just have to see.
It sure looked like Bloomington was going to get a lot of snow based on the radar. Several counties are under emergency travel only….just hospital workers essentially. Evansville/Newburgh is a disaster

I think we have 8 inches or so, no way of measuring because of drifting. It was snowing harder and hour ago than any time yesterday. We have a travel warning, so if course IUB is open.

College towns are weird. The closest housing are students who should be "poor". Then administrators, then faculty, then staff. Few staff live in town. So having it open on a day that the people who need to be there, no classes this week so no students or faculty, seems crazy.

I got called this morning and was told not to bother coming in. Haven't even stuck my head out the door yet to see what's what. Looking through the window it doesn't look like anyone has been through the neighborhood to speak of.

Just shoveled my drive and walk. Guessing we ended up getting 6-8" and another inch or so coming if the forecast is to be believed.

Super fluffy and light, so wasn't too bad to shovel.

10” here Bwahahaha

This was one hell of a cruel storm. Two weeks of kids off and it pisses down snow on their first day back.

It’s brutal here. We have a heavy layer of ice on 10 inches or so of snow. I parked the truck out by the road. Still had trouble getting to road in 4 wheel drive. The wife and kids will be unable to get out unless someone with a tractor is out helping folks

Seems like this used to happen 4 or 5 times/winter when we were kids. We've gotten soft.

Bundle.them up and send them outside until they can't feel their fingers and toes.
Did the drop yesterday mercifully. But agreed re snow and when we were kids. Having to walk to the grocery store bc it snowed feet not inches

So, how long has this naming been going on (this storm is Blair, btw)?

Shit is thick and heavy down here. I hate this shit. Need to find me a strong young boy to shovel. I can't do it anymore.

House faces vacant lot so drifts on front sidewalk makes snow about a foot deep. Deep but light.

Plan to cancel all activities for a couple of days and slowly shovel myself out.

Let's hang in there for the forseeable future, Mark.

Yeah I’m going to be sore as hell tomorrow. That shit here was no joke. Deep. Heavy. Piled on top of a long sheet of ice. Miserable

I dug myself out a little bit at a time today and got out and about late this afternoon. Roads in town are decent if you drive like you've got some sense. Should be good to go tomorrow. Still have a long way to go with the walkways and the wife's car.

I made it out of Indy, however I'm now weather delayed and stuck at LAX for the night after the plane I was supposed to he on to SFO didn't leave wherever it was coming from.

Should have taken the money to fly out Wednesday instead. FMR
Stuck in L.A.? Poor baby.

DUDE!!!!!

Travel is what killed me and I will probably spend my last 30 yrs in a mental facility. That shit was cool for 5-6 yrs. Then I begged for a hostage situation.

Can't say that I have. It's warm there, isn't it? All I need to know.
Warm'ish. Like you, due to TV and others talking shit, I thought Cali would be awesome. Took me 2 trips to totally opt out of ever going again. Especially around the hot spots like LA, Anaheim and even San Diego made me feel afraid, there was some shady shit going on. Now, up north and to the east, in the country side. Looks like some beautiful places to live off grid.

🖕

Can't find a frickin hotel room rt now that isn't an arm and a leg. I guess I'm not the only one stuck here. At least I managed to get a flight out in the morning instead of 7pm tomorrow night that they rebooked me on.

Double double animal style for dinner?

In and Out fries are pretty bad. Bland, even with the animal style helping out. I appreciate the potatoes being fresh and unprocessed. Something about the prep that makes them blah.
