I want to give the benefit of the doubt to co-president Musk…

I'll add the number of posts on this forum blaming Biden and Dems for the high cost of eggs, groceries, gas, housing, etc. These are definitely real problems for most Americans as wages remain stagnant and the cost of living increases.

I just want to make sure these issues are discussed over the next four years because ending wokeness has nothing to do with the price of my eggs, which I'm allergic to.

The majority of the budget blowout happened as a result of Covid and was signed into law by Trump -- although it was virtually unanimous in Congress.

However, Biden poured unnecessary fuel on the fire with ARP -- which seemed an awful lot like a "well, the checkbook's open...go for it" kind of cornucopia of spending wants. And he actually wanted to go even farther with "Build Back Better" as he was targeting another $3T spending bill. As it turned out, Joe Manchin pulled his ass back off the ledge and limited the size of that one -- which still ended up nearly $1T.

And that's in addition to the infrastructure bill -- although that one is more spread out.

Moreover, it would appear that federal spending established a new baseline after COVID, rather than going back to its previous trajectory -- which was already scheduled to head to oblivion as entitlement finances deteriorate.

We get WAY too caught up in which politicians to blame/credit for anything. We need to start focusing more on the "what" and less on the "who" if we want to get this ship righted.

No, because there would be no correlation between the flip-off gesture and the sentiment that "my heart goes out to you."

But there is correlation between hitting your chest and miming the throwing of your heart out to the crowd.

Without any context, I agree with you.

But we have the luxury of context here -- assuming we're willing to consider it. And I guess you just aren't.
What if an adult flipped you off but then explained it was just a hurt finger. I'd guess the explanation would start with an apology.

I'd probably think he was flipping me off...until the moment I realized that his finger was just hurt. At that time, I'd have what Steven Covey would call a paradigm shift.

And that seems kind of analogous to this situation. Again, even I thought he was doing a Nazi salute at first. Read my first response on this thread. I assumed he was trolling.

But I had only seen the truncated clip. And I think that's what most people had seen. Maybe that's still all they have seen. As soon as I saw the clip in context, it instantly created a different context which changed the meaning.

Also, I know what I wouldn't do after I figured out that he had a hurt finger and wasn't actually flipping me off...

...I wouldn't keep stomping my feet insisting that he really was flipping me off and was just making up the hurt finger thing as an excuse to keep me from punching him.

It’s a waste of time. Musk obviously carefully planned this because he’s either a despicable troll or an actual goose stepping Nazi.

Forget the context or his actual words in the moment. He carefully planned the whole thing.

They haven’t learned anything. They spent 8 years crying about racism around every corner and under every stone and all it got them was another Trump presidency, in large part because of his massive gains among minorities of all kinds.

You’d think they’d learn.

It's the ex husband "thousand yard stare". That is when you know, he's been in the bush too long.

So now the left pretends to care about the feelings of the Jews? Come on.

Hey, if all the Hamas-loving sympathizers want to see Nazi salutes maybe they should look at all the pictures of Hamas terrorists lined up, giving a coordinated Nazi salute.

But Trump has now frightened these clowns half out of their minds twice, thus leaving empty voids.

Bingo.

And then there is this...
