I guess now that Edey is in the NBA, he's not so bad

His televised comments after making the final four were something absolutely no one wanted to hear except PU fans that were eager to help him out.

Had a monster playoff game.
He's a defensive liability and every team is going to take advantage of it. OKC certainly did. He can only play drop coverage - the only thing he can guard is the rim because it doesn't move - which creates a Purdue co-ed like gape in the middle of their defense.

So, if our goal is to reduce the number of trolls we see here spewing embittered crap and shitposts...one good tactic would be to stop posting purdue-related threads. All this does is bring the idiots here.

Can we have a ban on pu related threads?

I'll bet those 9 ppg make him a net positive.........nope!

Your crusade saying no way it’s a foul in the men’s game if a player is kicked in the crotch-ba###rd deserved it.
Hmmmm don’t recall saying that, let alone a crusade. But I’m sure you know best .

You mean the guy who just helped set a playoff 1st round record by being part of a 51 point loss...?

Yeah..., he's really impressive... 🙄

Sorry. I remembered we were talking about someone that was attacked by his girlfriend and defended himself and you crusaded that he was legally and socially the guilty party. I see your point though in this case two males involved whereas in the first case male and female so yeah a weak analogy.

the moral crusade of all moral crusades is this RMK cult that is left in our fanbase. Talk about a lost cause.

30 years ago it was all RMK. It's still all RMK. 30 years from now it will still be all RMK.

Reminds me of Daulton Ga. I stay there yearly on the way down to FL. Looks the same as it did 30 years ago. Will look the same 30 years from now.

This pride in living in the past is a bunch of poop. gets us nowhere. keeps us dumb.

The only factual material that can guide our actions in the present to have some desired outcome in the future is the past. The past is dead time and cannot be changed but it is the only factual source available to assist in decision making in the present. My view is that ideology has become far too important in modern decision making. The realm of pure ideas does not require any thoughtful consideration of the past and so not appropriate for determining outcomes of actions we take in the present. Academics and people in the academic world tend to be more ideological than the average person. If they learned anything from RMK it was to hire softer willed coaches that would never take on the administration.

Crean was at least half nuts, Sampson was Sampson, Archie was a mouse, and Woodson was very ideological in his coaching (this is how I did what I did in the NBA and this is how we will do it now) and was not a focused energetic coach. You could reasonably make the case that the Woodson decision was impacted by RMK since he played for him but the others had little to do with RMK except for not wanting a similar strong willed coach. Just bad decisions and please don’t blame on RMK. :)

If DeVries takes the program back to elite status I will be fully content and for me a new era of IU basketball.

I see your point though when some on here are ready to fire DeVries before he coaches his first game if that results from comparison to RMK.
