He’s a good enough coach that I would fully expect him to have success in the same way that Gard has success at Wisconsin. It is a far cry better than where we are, but I think people view it as putting a ceiling on us. If the goal is a championship, I don’t think he is getting it done.
I’m not one that thinks that we are going to have known coaches at major universities racing to resign to take the IU job. However, it took him 11 years to get his team to this point and just before these seasons were a couple of years just over .500. He could be great and prove doubters wrong, as I and most everyone on here are far from an expert on the matter. I just like the fact that all McCollum has done at multiple levels is build teams to beat the brakes off the competition.
