He went to the same high school as Denicos Allen, who wound up being a 2nd team All-American his senior year at Michigan St., and his high school coach thought Oliver was just as good as Allen. Then KW mentions his injury last year as being just as big as Feeney's in '13.
I knew Oliver went to the same high school as Allen. Allen had better stats, so didn't know how comparable he was, but to hear that is encouraging. Combine that with Tegray Scales and we could have a couple All Big Ten backers in the near future.
Individually, it seems like our front 7 is very solid. I think upper Big Ten solid, but I think they need to start playing better as a unit. They looked really good against FIU and hopefully control the line of scrimmage against WKU. If we're able to do shut down their running game, which I think is possible when they don't have Leon Allen, then we can get into nickel and dime packages on 2nd and 3rd downs and be more effective against the pass.
