Skin care.

If they are training on sites like this, Skynet is six months away at most.

This one slipped through somehow. These bot posts normally have to be approved if the account doesn't provide a legit email address. I nuke them when they hit the Approval Queue. Someone either approved this or they've got a workaround.

I know this doesn’t sound like a topic we would normally chat about. It’s certainly not a “manly’ choice of conversation. As a 51 year old man, I think I’ve been wrong about how I’ve taken care of my skin. As long as I’ve been an adult I’ve for the most part ignored the warnings. My wife, a doctor has always encouraged me to wear sunscreen and a hat. Maybe 50% of the time during the sunnier months I complied. The problem is I do it, but never re-apply. The result now is the wrinkles are showing at an early age but more concerning are the sun spots that have begun to appear on my face. I think as men we don’t want to be told what to do and especially by women. I can now say after years of playing sports outside and now watching my kids play there’s probably a good chance I will have to deal with skin cancer. Was it worth it? I guess I’ll find out.

The point is as men we don’t take care of ourselves enough. We don’t go to the doctor enough, we don’t check ourselves routinely for testicular cancer, we don’t get colonoscopies when told. I’m sure there are exceptions among us. If not for ourselves we owe it to our wives and kids. Perhaps we can support one another and even share stories that might convince us hard headed guys we don’t know everything.

It might be too late for MY skin, but perhaps it’s not for yours.
