I wonder if it would do any good for Pacers to file complaint with league on his head flops? It’s outrageous. He pushes off the defender and even head flops while he’s committing an offensive foul.

At least Pacer officials should go crazy in media to highlight it.

Pacer coaches should bitch to refs every single time it happens.

At least the refs were not buying it, for the most part. Refs allowing physical play both ways, I think, helps the Pacers wear out the opponent even more with tempo and depth.

He shot 14 free throws. Well over half of them on calls that Brunson "earned" through his foul hunting style. Even the announcers are now resigned to it. On AT LEAST 4 of his shooting fouls, he was driving, he initiated the contact, player is moving their feet alongside him, arms vertical, body vertical...you know, legal guarding position... Brunson throws shoulder in to them, flies head back...whistle, shooting foul.

I guess its a good play... refs are calling it consistently. But its literally impossible to defend.

SGA does the same ...

Definitely does... they both learned from Harden, CP3, etc... I'm all for getting defenders out of position, and off their feet, and cashing in with drawn fouls as a result. But this new bullshit where you can actually deceive an official with a little shoulder bump and head flail... they gotta regulate that out of the game. I think the defensive flopping calls are helping a little bit. Time to come up with some offensive flopping parameters. Brunson should have shot about 5-6 free throws last night.

I usually complain about officiating in NBA games. But I agree that they did a decent job. The Pacers got behind because of their play, not due to the officials.
Brunson is a bit of a unicorn with his thick body, great footwork, and left handed over the head jump shot. And he has all of the floaters, fadeaways, and 1 leggers in his arsenal. That said, I agree with those above on his foul seeking antics. The officials did let Nesmith bang on him some in the 4th qtr and overtime.
The Pacers wore them down. Both Brunson and KAT had open 3 pointers on their last possession, but their legs were toast and they were both well short. Pacers have to keep pushing the pace.

The only team the Pacers can't wear down and eventually break is OKC. Rick Carlisle is doing a great job with the rotations keeping everyone fresh down the stretch.

I think Brunson inch for inch, pound for pound the best player in the league. I'm not a huge fan of his playing style or small guards in general, but he gets the most out of what God gave him.

Not real sure about that. OKC plays the most aggressive (foul every play) defense I've seen since Gene Keady scowled up and down the sidelines. But I think they prefer that style to try to slow teams down. If Pacers take care of the ball, they can absolutely wear them down. I like our chances...but obviously gotta finish up with this series first.

He would get aggravated with his pounding the air out of the ball.
The only time it was acceptable to dribble was to improve passing position or into a wide open layup. Motion was a passing cutting offense not a dribbling offense. VPM never knows what he's talking about. Never ..
