We ain’t making the tourney. Ease your pain. Stop the mental gymnastics. The all aboard is a laugh. We could build a shit brick house but the bubble is bursting with a sour flavor. We don’t have the back court. About time to cash out. Ended the game on a 25 to 7 run. In a game we were starving for. Rinse and repeat.

Please recruit shooters.

Another depressing March...

No shooters
I work with an MSU fan and he can't believe a team like IU doesn't have shooters. Are they still coaching that in high school?

Cav is very bad at recognizing talent and good teams.

Another disappointing thing about this team is that they are old compared to other college teams.

Cav is very wrong about his prediction that IU will kill it in NIL.

Love the dude and his optimism but Cav is a natural born salesman. Pains me to say that. I remember after the Bahamas he had us finishing 2nd in the BIG and Bates being a first round draft pick. Um…all aboard the titanic…

He had Michigan first.

The internet is forever.

I don't know why anyone expected us to be good. TJD not a pro player, and it's basically the same team from last year and there are several who do not belong. The tide is turning, but this about talent, not coaching. Coaching is what makes us look somewhat better than last year, you just can't polish a turd into a diamond. Bates is a huge disappointment thus far. I really think he and Lander should start NOW, then we'd know what to do with them. Not like it makes a difference anyway

Hell, when Knight's ass was kicked out a lot of people here thought just about any coach could continue to be successful at IU because of its winning tradition and being located in the state of Indiana with it's reputation for great college basketball recruits who could shoot. What happened to that advantage, then we can talk about what happened with NIL.

IU has some shots for glory yet v. Wisconsin and at OSU.
As Yogi Berra would say … it Ain’t over until it’s over.

May need to win a Big 10 tournament quarterfinal at this rate for a March Madness dancecard.

Looks like we miss Rob Phinesee more than I had hoped.

Bates is doing his best Charlie Miller impression.

We did, MD had it ticking up again and people got tired of 6 seeds ... look where we are now. I admit I wanted him gone too, but hindsight is 20/20 and it's been nothing but bad since they fired him. He was clean and a nice person, they threw him to the fire and he got minutes away of #6, should have been given time to grow into the job

Bullshit. He had one good team and two average ones. Guess we’re just acting like the Bracey Wright era never happened now…
Yeah, well Crean had 1 good one, one average one, and a litany array of horrid one's and he got a lot more slack than MD. I'd pine away to watch Bracey Wright era ball over what we have seen for 10 years.

People were pissed that Connelly and the big fellow went to OSU, but MD was still bringing in talent and getting us #6 seeds with a clean program ... all the bullshit we've witnessed has been since we fired him, I just firmly believe he should have been given more slack now

Cut Cav some slack. He is an agent, He has an economic reason to push these players. It’s not a wrong or right issue, what’s the movie where Tom cruise says show me the money?

Crean got more slack because he started from scratch. The Bracey Wright teams were unwatchable.
Crean started from scratch because of Dickich kicking all the talent off, Crean could have asked them back ... he didn't and the reason for that .. woes me job security. This shit is way more unwatchable, Bracey Wright era was in many way better than an expected loss, at least then we knew we had a chance on the road, now it like why waste my time. I didn't like that offense either, but at least the ball went in the basket sometimes

Mike Davis went 15-14 then followed it up with 14-15. Grow into the job, after missing out on Oden, May and Conley?

Our only shots at getting to 11 wins are:

3 home games
- Wiscy
- Maryland
- Rutgers

Win 1 Road Game
- OSU (loss)
- Minny (best chance)
- Purdue (we will lose by 30)

It is hard to believe you are serious but since you have doubled down on your original post, I guess your were! 🤦‍♂️

MD also had to put up the Knight crew badmouthing him to every recruit that would listen.

He took a team that RMK would have done nothing with to the NC game, his players came back from an almost 20 point deficit at the half to beat #1 Duke, I think he was an OK coach and still getting actual talent not miscreants that want to go into the transfer portal because they are not any good or bad teammates

And to be honest, those are the kind of records that got Crean and AM a pass

Agent = salesman. Has zero to do with actual basketball intellect which is why I follow the board and watch Indiana basketball and post on this board.

Why should he be cut slack for being another sleazy salesman? I’ve been calling his bluff since last fall and took a lot of heat for it

Which means we ain’t getting to 11. WISC will probably beat us a lot easier in Bloomington—once we got their attention with the 22-point lead in Madison, they outscored us by 27. This time around, we won’t even get the 22-point lead.

And beating RUTG became a pipe dream.

Where is he by the way, always posts frequently after a win, but conspicuously absent after losses. He clearly knows very little about this team despite his desire to demonstrate his inside knowledge. Oh and Bates is WAY overrated.

No. MD was as good as gone and wanted to go. Remember when he missed the last home game?

His teams went straight downhill after the UK chicken dance loss.

But I already took PTO for March 17-18…

I still have hope but my backup plan is to play golf pending weather.
Agree just waiting for warmer weather and no snow. First time I have not played golf in December or January. We had great weather but it was always when I was working.

What scares me is all the standing around on offense. I can guard a guy standing in a corner.

Didn’t Crean’s wife almost get hit by a potted plant thrown by Eli Holman?

It appears the suspensions did not much to get this team hungry. I guess it's just the typical iu late year fade.
