Have to sort of agree with Dackich's rant today ...

I heard the Dakich rant and can't really disagree with what he had to say. It wouldn't hurt to have a few ex-Knight IU guys as asst. coaches. Some of Knight's foot in the ass had to have rubbed off.......Guess we will see what happens with this team but it is entirely possible to add the next 3 games to this losing streak if they continue to play as they have. A 6 game losing streak and it will feel like Crean is still coach or was that Davis......maybe both

why do you think a "foot in the ass" is what is needed? because one coach who won 3 championships coached that way? the vast majority of all-time greats didn't coach like that.

not trying to get into it, just curious. i, for one, like a coach who can keep his cool. live by emotions, die by emotions. they sure eventually ate bobby up.

You are partially right but are embellishing per usual.

No one said he was the next Knight. There will never be another Knight.

I, and others, did say that we expect him to be here for 30 years. I think it's going to be hard for him to fail here by how he coaches, how his personality fits the program and how he recruits and can sell the program.

You are correct that until we get actual results everything is just speculation.

Archie said it himself, if he doesn't win at the level expected, he'll be let go.

THIS TO EVERYONE ESPECIALLY THOSE ARGUING

Based on that, I'll believe the system is sound until we're healthier and see otherwise. The folks already done with Miller are f****** idiots and can suck balls.

Too early early for all this bullshit and they know it. It's PTSD
WAY to early but that doesnt mean it isnt concerning .
These players are playing lazy and half assed. Thats not on injuries...thats on the players, & then the coach if it becomes too noticeable/consistent

i get worried by this too. but the "next year" worries always assume no one on our current roster, playing or sitting, will get better and that none of the new guys will contribute.
I genuinely believe players like
Durham, Smith , Greene, will not be any better. Its past time cam to start focusing on forester,moore,anderson....Now he did a* little* bit* with moore against Nebraska. But lets see if he continues this path vs Purdue and goin forward.
If not thats on the coach alongside allowing these half assed lazy games

You must have a death wish for the program, then. Yes, Moore should get most of Fitzner’s minutes and Anderson a little more time on the court. But we need Green, Al and Justin to play and for the coaching staff to better prepare the team.

I wasnt suggesting a platoon swap.
But unless were hangin in there with purdue and dont need to screw up chemisty, we better start seeing a lot more of forester, moore.and maybe anderson ( whose unimpressed me every game excluding against illinois) against Purdue and going forward

I agree they need better stuff for Langford. All he can do now is get fouled on those high screen and rolls. Most teams understand they have to stop him up there.

The criticism of Miller isn't unjust but when Dakich says "no one knows about Hunter and Thompson" I would simply say, that we do know about the guys available and most of them are banged up. Having more healthy players gives a team someone to put in the game if others aren't hacking it.

I can’t understand for the life of my why the same exact people who fell for Crean’s BS crowned Archie the 2nd coming of Knight before he accomplished anything.

Did people learn nothing from Crean?

Will it be this way for the next coach?

Why can’t we just objectively judge a coach by their results? Why do IU fans have such a tough time with this?
the problem is the so called word [SELF EXPECTATIONS OF cHAMPIONSHIPS] every year. this is the BT where there are 13 other coaches wanting the BT Championship

"Foot in the ass" is a metaphor. If you have been in an intense program then you have to understand how to get players ready. You have to do something to ratchet up the intensity. IU has been soft for the last 18 years or so
