Harris vs. Trump 2024

Presidential and midterms.
Others don't have near the volume...but you know that.
If the idea of making Election Day a holiday is allow people more time and flexibility to fulfill their civic duty, I would think we would want to do that for the races that will affect them most.

I’m not opposed to Election Day being a holiday. Let’s craft policy that encourages good decision making though. Aka, being more involved in local politics.

Certainly I hope the election results are thrown out if there is evidence of “failures or irregularities” by election officials. I hope we all would.
"Irregularities" like a mother and daughter exchainging mints, and the wingnuts envisioning passing thumb drives?

Yeah those are the people I would rely on to define "irregularities"...

It's very simple. Keep the polls open for 12 hours on the 2 weekends before the election and obviously open on election day. That's 5 days to vote in person and most people are off weekends and employers have to let you off on election day to vote. But Dems don't want secure elections. They want shenanigans.
Dbm do we have a plan in place for when they cheat?

Let’s just start with not letting MAGATS near the ballots.

You obviously would love that system, but there are 8 states where universal vote by mail is the state law. And there is no way in Hell any of those states are going to vote for or be in favor of your proposal. People are not going to give up the convenience of returning a ballot that was mailed to you by mail or dropping it in a drop box to soothe your paranoid sensibilities...

Members of both parties get elected in each of those states, inclding Utah where it wouldn't have become law without the backing of the LDS church. The message those states would send your way (to borrow from the Haris/Walz campaign)- "We're not going back"...

Most accurate pollster of 2020 dropped their final.

Well I guess their reign as "most accurate pollster" was fun while it lasted...

The election landscape shifted in 22 with the Dobbs decision. Any examples of Atlas having insight into the post Dobbs electorate? I know they were all over Herschel winning in the GA Senate race...

Do you mean the "line" at the drop box? PA doesn't have in person early voting...

I haven't looked into any of this, but my initial thought is that if they "shut down" access to the drop box, it likely springs from someone issuing a threat a la the clown in Clark Co (NV)...

No idea how you think that this is some sort of "attack on Republicans" since closing down access to a drop box would inconvenience both Dems and Pubs indiscriminately. And it's not like they're wearing different colored uniforms which would tell them apart...

PA has "in person" mail in balloting. You have to stand in line for a while.

"Yes, Pennsylvania does offer early voting, which in Pennsylvania is called in-person mail ballot voting.
You can choose whether to vote on Election Day or during the in-person mail ballot voting period, whichever is easier for you. This can be especially helpful if it would be difficult or not possible for you to vote on Election Day. Voting early at your local election office or other designated location may be less crowded, as well."

It's less than a week before election day. With DeJoy's less than stellar history of making sure mail ballots are returned on time, who would trust their ballot to the USPS a week out from the election?

Meanwhile we know that certain PA Republicans have attempted to make it more difficult to vote via dropbox...

The worker had no business asking someone to take off their hat.
Actually, the worker is doing the job he's sworn to do. Campaign attire isn't allowed in the polling places of most (maybe all) states. It's certainly not allowed here in Ohio and not in Texas either. Only a dipshit would put up a fuss about it and assault a poll worker for it.

You're surely not going to defend the guy assaulting the poll worker. The worker could very well be a Republican, not that it should matter.

Edit for a PS: When in the hell did it become polite to wear a hat inside? I never do. I take it off soon as I step inside any building.

Very strange that you attack the volunteer doing his job but not condemn the maniac who will be charged with assault. Did the asshole have the right to punch the guy?

No he had no right to punch the worker. He was arrested as he should have been.

Anyone wanting to wear a red hat with MAGA on it isn’t electioneering in my book. Is a red hat with a flag on it electioneering? Is every red hat off limits?

No. Red hats are perfectly OK (still shouldn't wear a hat indoors). MAGA is a well-known political slogan associated with one of the candidates. Clearly violates the rules. They're pretty simple.

It will be bad if Trump wins and quite a bit worse if he loses and never admits defeat.

McMurt and Danc will be gathering up their Golden Corral buddies to waddle their way into the Capitol yet again.

Can you link to another video, the Fox one doesn't play loud enough when I try to watch it on my pc. Anything on youtube would be preferable...

Just to be clear Kamala Harris said "you will be put in camps if you don't vote for me"? That's what the tweet claims, is that what the video says? Or is the tweet a deliberate falsification? Aka as a lie...

I thought the Bulwark guys were kidding about his bronzer. But you can actually see the mask like border of his face where it goes from flesh tone to orange.. And when he holds his hands in front of his face the contrast between the white of his hands and the burnt orange of his face mask is staggering...

Wonder how many of his supporters who see him as some sort of prime physical specimen have seen him in pics with no makeup wrapped in his girdle...

The Mooch reveals all...

Only a moron would say it was a girdle when it’s really a bulletproof vest!
