With everyone else hitting the road, will Luke Goode still be a Hoosier next year?
I think he stays. He wanted to be a Hoosier. His family is a Hoosier family. With everyone else hitting the road, will Luke Goode still be a Hoosier next year?
Sounds like DeVries is starting with a clean slate.I think he stays. He wanted to be a Hoosier. His family is a Hoosier family.
Who is making the sounds?Sounds like DeVries is starting with a clean slate.
No need to name a source in my book, I"m just curious how you know this. I live online and haven't seen anything like that stated anywhere. But ... I am a big fan of him not coming back.nope, was told to hit the bricks, this one may be a mistake
If true...then DeVries obviously did come in and sterilize the program. A guy like Goode would have been a natural guy to keep, on the surface. Maybe the overall mood, climate, culture was even worse than many of us were thinking it probably was?nope, was told to hit the bricks, this one may be a mistake
part of it is I think he sees him playing the same position as Tucker. If true...then DeVries obviously did come in and sterilize the program. As an example, specific to Goode, he did publicly call out the fan base...even saying don't "come back" type things. I think DeVries probably wants all the fans to "come back".
He doesn't. He said Beard was a done deal, and that Cupps was transferring to Akron or Dayton or some mid-major school. If he has a source, that source is not reliable. No need to name a source in my book, I"m just curious how you know this. I live online and haven't seen anything like that stated anywhere. But ... want to bet on thatIf Goode get his waiver, he'll be a Hoosier.
I explained Beard, I assumed Whitten would go along I was wrong. Cupps was talking to Dayton, I think his family was surprised OSU jumped in, did anyone here see that comingHe doesn't. He said Beard was a done deal, and that Cupps was transferring to Akron or Dayton or some mid-major school. If he has a source, that source is not reliable.
He's a sooth-sayer, and, probably also the most fun hang in Southern Indiana and Kentucky when he's drinking.
It sure comes across like you're either making stuff up...or you have awful sources.I explained Beard, I assumed Whitten would go along I was wrong. Cupps was talking to Dayton, I think his family was surprised OSU jumped in, did anyone here see that coming
OSU is a no-brainer choice over Dayton, if they are willing to take him.I explained Beard, I assumed Whitten would go along I was wrong. Cupps was talking to Dayton, I think his family was surprised OSU jumped in, did anyone here see that coming
Not to White Knight for Kurt here, but I can say with certainty that Beard's agent expressed his clients interest in the job. Beard wanted it.It sure comes across like you're either making stuff up...or you have awful sources.
But it is very entertaining.
I don't know... his claim was that he (Kurt), had a "dinner" with some people that would know, and that it was decided. Not to White Knight for Kurt here, but I can say with certainty that Beard's agent expressed his clients interest in the job. Beard wanted it.
I have no idea what IU did with that or where it went, but there was at least conversation.
I'm not some Jeff Rabjohns with breaking info all the time (tic), just a former coach who still knows a couple people that are rock solid.
Otis was probably on to something with his assumption it was Beard.
It sure comes across like you're either making stuff up...or you have awful sources.

Bingo. Also have Tucker D. and Sisley playing small forward. If Goode comes back that makes 3 and 4 if B. Tucker stays. Even with all the slots IU has open, that seems like too many given the need for guards and a couple of bigs.part of it is I think he sees him playing the same position as Tucker.
I think there definitely could be a basketball reason to not want Goode, or at least not be committed to wanting Goode today... because you have Tucker DeVries and Trent Sisley as your only 2 roster spots, as of today.Bingo. who told you Woodson would resign a month before anyone knew.I don't know... his claim was that he (Kurt), had a "dinner" with some people that would know, and that it was decided.
There seems to be quite a lot of other information...which seems to be more credible, that leads to Beard never really being seriously considered. Beard's agent can say whatever he wants. And I don't doubt Beard wanted it. But the claim was that it was "done"...when quite a lot of refuting evidence and sources say it was never a real consideration.
who told you Woodson would resign a month before anyone knew.
Bahamas happened...I think most everyone was assuming his time at IU was done after that showing. And Woodson resigning was one of the many theories floated. I personally don't think the actual decision was made immediately after Bahamas. Rather, during the mid/late B10 season slide.who told you Woodson would resign a month before anyone knew.
Explaining why your predictions didn't come true doesn't change the fact that they weren't true.I explained Beard, I assumed Whitten would go along I was wrong. Cupps was talking to Dayton, I think his family was surprised OSU jumped in, did anyone here see that coming
Emphasis on the entertainment part.... Most of his posts are of the nearly illegible gibberish variety but that's why we read them.It sure comes across like you're either making stuff up...or you have awful sources.

Was never really considered by IU. The search firm IU used vetted Beard and unearthed more than just the one domestic dispute that the general public knows about. It's the same reason why Kentucky, Louisville, and Michigan didn't give him the time of the day last year.I don't know... his claim was that he (Kurt), had a "dinner" with some people that would know, and that it was decided.

In retrospect there is the appearance that CDD was the target all along, but I don't think anyone on the outside really knows. The whole coach search process was air tight, no one who covered IU or CBB knew until a day before.
Yet some random guy on Rivals free board had the scoop? Sure. All the rumors were misinformed donors or agents pushing client narratives.

ok, please accept my apologyExplaining why your predictions didn't come true doesn't change the fact that they weren't true.
If you don't know, stop acting like you do. "Done deal" and "subject to Whitten's approval" are not the same thing.
Apology accepted. For penance I suggest 14 minutes of sobriety.ok, please accept my apology

Luke Goode to seek medical hardship waiver to return for 2025-26 season
Luke Goode says he plans to apply for a medical hardship waiver for an extra year of eligibility.indiana.rivals.com
Bwahhhh! My blind and deaf grandmother could have called that one. Great contacts and insight!😏who told you Woodson would resign a month before anyone knew.
I agree. Hard to imagine you cut a guy loose that wants to be here so badlyIf Goode get his waiver, he'll be a Hoosier.
