The only mistake was Mike Woodson!I really liked the young man. Boy did he make a mistake coming here.

Every time he had the ball, you know it was going up...good look or not.never questioned his effort, poor shot selection
Just clean house and start freshI really liked the young man. Boy did he make a mistake coming here.
All of these guys were way overpaid.wonder if some of this could be simply, you are welcome to stay BUT you are taking a pay cut.
Who was better after Woodson? He’ll thrive elsewhere, we’ve seen it with just about eveyone but Ware, that is, better elsewhere whether before or after Woody…

People want to point at Bates and Gunn as improving, but they both took a step down in competition that accounts for a chunk of that.Oh right, Bates got somewhat better. I guess that's one.
So if the only mistake was Woodson, why leave? The only mistake was Mike Woodson!
Bates took a step down in competition? The SEC and selection committee may want to have a word with you about that.People want to point at Bates and Gunn as improving, but they both took a step down in competition that accounts for a chunk of that.
Money. So if the only mistake was Woodson, why leave?
isn’t this how it’s been the past few seasons? This year‘s team was a shoe in for top 20 and everybody’s preseason expectations. I can’t remember the last time Indiana overachieved in basketball.Sweeping that floor clean of a failed 4 years. I think it was more like your fired. And how much they got paid for what they did is disgusting. That goes for the "retired" "coach" also. What has happened over the last couple of weeks is the biggest victory of the season. Happy days are right around the corner.

The only player who showed any improvement was TJDWho was better after Woodson?
Hunter was pretty much the same. Phin was the same. Lander had one season under Woodson, right? He never became good. At least Galloway and Leal got a pinch better. Maybe the same progression as Lander. Who got better after they left IU?
In the NBA? I'd hope he got better after he became a professional. The only player who showed any improvement was TJD
Oops, I meant Banks. Bates clearly got better.Bates took a step down in competition? The SEC and selection committee may want to have a word with you about that.
You might have been right the first time. Missouri, no matter what, is a step down from IU…At least it was when he made the decision. They’re a year removed from going 0-18 in their conference. Competition level could also mean in practices, playing time, etc…Oops, I meant Banks. Bates clearly got better.
ehhh. I get what you're saying, but Mizzou is a P5 program with some history, and in the SEC. You have a tough time covincing me he was seeing lesser players/opponents at Mizzou than at IU. Not so tough to convince me of that at DePaul or Tulane. Bates earned his props. You might have been right the first time. IMO Carlyle couldn't leave fast enough. He must have been out of town, which delayed his announcement. I am guessing he didn't have a choice. How he ever scored 30 points or more in a Pac12 game last year is beyond me.So if the only mistake was Woodson, why leave?
Of course he did. Both can be true. And it obviously evolved when he got there. There were obvious roster issues when he committed there...they were destined for an 0-18 season SEC season, after all. Both programs were coming off pretty good overall seasons...but IU was, for sure, on more solid ground at the time. We weren't very good that year (Tamar probably would have helped with that), but we weren't anywhere near as inept as Mizzou was. Obviously they righted the ship well...their turnaround was spectacular when you dig in to it. And Tamar was a huge part of that.ehhh. I was hoping he could atleast average 6-7ppg when he got here. Crazy how so many expected so much more from him.IMO Carlyle couldn't leave fast enough.
