I hope we get this kid because I've always believed that recruiting a lot of times is about vibes. Do Northern Indiana kids think it's a cool vibe to go to IU? Well, we have Damezi who is the leading scorer in the South Bend area. Now we can get this kid who helps with the talent coming out of Ft Wayne (I am thinking Caleb Furst to be quite honest) and then we just keep rolling with the great vibes emanating from IU.
“Kentucky isn’t built for everybody but (Cal) feels I’m built for Kentucky”. No wonder UK isn’t getting the top kids anymore with that kind of pitch - like UK is the only place you can get to the pros from. Arrogant and misguided.
Maxey KNOWS who the real competition is . . .
Don’t see KB going to Lexington. Like Michigan St, have other recruits at his position.

Players see through Cal's "I'm the only one who can get you to the NBA" recruiting gimmick. Because it's false. Many other coaches are better options. Cal doesn't even mention his team, or winning National championships to recruits. It all about the fast track to the NBA. Cal should just go coach in the G-League.
