You knew this was going to happen. Gaetz was a galactically poor choice.

We will see. There was definitely a plan. Rumors are Trump wanted Gaetz for AG and Kash for FBI while Thune could only guarantee him one. So maybe Paxton for AG and Kash to FBI. Will be interesting.

I think Trump wanted a loyal guy to watch his back at DOJ. That's not unheard of--JFK, Reagan, even Obama put someone at AG that they had prior deep trust with.
