Lol

Well i will say if archie does not work out it will be glass who officially tanked the program for good. I think this is our last shot at this before becoming a bottom feeder of the league for good.
Why last shot? We have a massive fan base, huge budget, basketball school, and state full of talent. It's not that much of a long shot.

BLOOMINGTON – Archie Miller's first contract as Indiana basketball coach, worth at least $24 million, includes incentives and bonuses that could see Miller paid more than any IU coach in history.

He does shell out the money though.

Jimmy Irsay will second that.

Actually, IU does nickel and dime the basketball program and makes it hard to admit grad transfers. It isn’t that great of a gig. The administration has to change for the basketball program to succeed.

deets? not fighting, but how exactly are they nickel and diming the basketball program?

every year we see programs spending way less do pretty well...it's always about the coach in college basketball.

How do they make it hard to admit grad transfers? Can’t be about grades as the player has proved he can stay eligible and larger universities offer more majors.

Probably a stupid excuse. Crean found Zeisloft he would have extremely helped this team this year, instead we took a lifetime 5.0ppg stiff from St Mary’s

There are additional hurdles a grad transfer has to go through to be admitted to IU that don’t exist at any other Big Ten university.

Purdue finally has a solid AD, whose first hire was Brohm. Painter’s a damned good coach. Just need the right AD
I agree with that statement,I really think Allen may work out.
At least the football team plays hard and seem to be improving.
Not seeing any of that from Archie yet.

I hope Allen works out, but I think that is pure fantasy.
IU hired from within on the cheap and got the results in line with the cheap hire.
Almost no possibility of a Football Bowl again next season, then football coach gets fired and the cycle starts all over again.

If you’re an IU senior, your college days are getting ready to end with the Hoosiers having played in one NCAA tournament, during your freshman year, and two bowl games, during your freshman and sophomore years, with losses in both games. The football program never had a winning season and basketball never came close to challenging for a regular season or Big 10 tournament championship. If you’re a junior, other than the bowl game loss to Utah, the picture is even more bleak, with tournament and bowl appearances being long shots for both programs before you graduate. Freshmen and sophomores have yet to see a tournament or bowl team.

No problem evaluating Fred Glass on a number of fronts, including facilities development and non-revenue sports performance, but football and basketball are usually the most memorable for undergrads, and they’ve not performed well on his watch if you’re a current student.

Actually Archie is better than Allen. Archie had IU ranked in the top 25. Allen will never have IU ranked before he is let go. No Bowl Allen.

It is funny that we have gotten quit a few grad transfers if it was that hard to get into IU.

Of course IU can get grad transfers but the available pool is much smaller than at other schools. That is a problem.

You may be right, obviously the expectations are far less for football.
I’m not saying Allen is Lombardi,I merely think he has things moving in the right direction and has obviously recruited better than his predecessors.

You may be right,I am by no means an expert coaching evaluator.
I just think Miller is in way over his head and is under more pressure to win NOW.
They will be more patient and expect less from Allen, which I don’t necessarily agree with but this is Indiana not Notre Dame.
