We were indeed in it….until the predictable brain fart coaching and player buffoonery came in just like clockwork. Actually, this is a good moral victory for IU. Something to build on for a program like IU.

Define mediocre. Merriam-Webster has it as "of moderate or low quality, value, ability, or performance "

So for your assessment to be accurate, the Big 10 would need to be assessed at no better than 5th-6th best conference in the nation. And that's clearly not the case.

Warren Nolan has them 2nd.

RealTimeRPI has them 3rd.

Is what we have accomplished so far this year up to anyone's expectations? Without question, no. But in a year where the conference is universally viewed as second-best in the nation, Woodson - without being able to fully bring in guys he really wants/needs to run his style of play - has not only laid the foundation of having good defensive teams but has the best defense in the conference.

Wanna cry? Go ahead. But even Stevie Wonder can see improvement in this program from last year. As Woodson develops this it should only get better.
