First good storm of the year.

we had our deck rebuilt this winter and added a roof. Didn't opt for a screened porch, and a part of that was thinking how awesome it will be to sit on our deck, beer in hand, and watch some good thunderstorms roll through. Can't wait!
 
Not sure what kind of screens you are used to but we can see through our screens just fine. :)

We both just preferred an open air porch. When we've had screened porches they tended to get hotter during the summer and that's when we will be using it. With all the pollen and tree litter though, we are paying for it now. Still, I prefer the open feel and 3 months in am glad we went that route and not screens.

We actually took the screening off our porch because the open air was more enjoyable.
