a PG with a 30% TO ratio .... NO!

Let it play out. No one has a clue. During the coaching search almost no one even had DeVries on their radar and he ended up being the pick. He might have a handful of top portal prospects that he's about to close on for all we know.I’d tell you to chill, but those words have already been used. We have no idea what’s happening and who CDD actually wants. Pretty sure he wasn’t interested in Plan C , nor were most of us. He brought the best player on his team, so Plan A. We have no idea what’s happening with Plan B. Pretty positive Plan D will work out. So I’ll say it. Chill.
Seeing some Crystal Balls on Conor Enright. Point guard for DePaul, played for DeVries at Drake. Looks like he was injured for part of the year, ironically a shoulder injury...averaged almost 7 assists a game when he played.
After watching the NCAA tournament thus far... I hope we end up getting higher level guys than this kid... but when healthy, it appears he's a pretty good shooter, and is a decent playmaker. Has a rep for being a good lead defender too...though I'd wonder on that one at the B10 level.
I REALLY hope DeVries is a guy that can go out and get a group of "dudes" on the perimeter, like Pope got, like Sampson always does, like Baylor seemingly always has. Butler, Oweh, Robert Wright, Cryer... we need to get some dawgs leading our team like that.
I don't see this Enright kid being that. So if he does choose IU, and he's the planned PG, we HAVE to go get some strong, athletic, versatile other guards and wings.
No exceptions. I like that.

Not like we have a choice anyway. Some are just nervous because the last two hires were spectacular disasters.Let it play out. No one has a clue. I’ll take it, if true. But losing Conwell SUCKS!
Internal bookkeeping. Yes I know Athletics is a separate budget and self-funded and all, but ultimately it's all university money. IU used some B1G Network money to pay for the Hamilton Lugar School academic building, IIRC.Actually, most places the athletic dept pays the university for the cost of tuition for the athletes on scholarship
Jonathan Powell - I had hopes we'd get him. Promising player from what few highlights I watched.
LOL.... Confirmation that Enright has arrived and we should take "insider" tweets with a grain of salt.
If Conwell enters next year's portal, I wouldn't give him the time of day. He's okay but nit worth the headaches.I’ll take it, if true. But losing Conwell SUCKS!

Looks like we struck out with Drew Allen, Sisley's Montverde buddy. Said to be down to Michigan + two others.
Did we go after Johnson, the 6 9 Illinois transfer? He's committed to Michigan.
Dusty is making us his bitch.
I think you enjoy being the dumbest guy in the room.Kind of hard to sell recruits when there are no players on the roster. But IU went the mid major route and assumed the risk of a coach being in over his head.
He'd have to have had an injury, to be able to portal again. And not knowing what type of guy he is, if he were to have a season ending injury, and entered the portal again next year... I'd hope DeVries would talk to him again (assuming there wasn't something about him DeVries didn't like). If Conwell enters next year's portal, I wouldn't give him the time of day. He's okay but nit worth the headaches.
Are we 100% sure he's committed? I haven't seen it from him.
We have contacted Daquan Davis, a 6'1" to-be-Soph guard from FSU, #140 player in the portal. For every 40M played, he averaged 13.7 pts, 3.9 assists, 2.5 TOs, and 3.6 rebs. Shot 28% on 3s, 41% on 2s only, 83% on FTs. Played 26M per game as a freshman. I haven't seen anything about his visits. This kid would appear to be affordable and have some upside.
I also saw on another site that Elyjah Freeman, a 6'8" D2 guy will visit this week. #97 portal kid who UK is also looking at. I have not seen that on any other site. From his highlights, I really like this kid....can handle it, shoots 3s, and can take it to the basket. I liked his highlights better than those of the 6'8" WV decommit who is also considering us (can't recall name). That kid has a beautiful 3 pt shot but is skin and bones...not just skinny. Hard to see him contributing against BT teams until he gains from strength.
No, it's not 100%. It was reported by 4 or 5 "insiders" on Twitter lastnight, but could have just been an echo chamber. Freeman is a stud.
Yes, Freeman looks impressive.
Re: Enright......yikes.
The DH says today that Enright has committed.
At some point they'll be right again... Eventually the dominoes will fall, I suppose.

Was the dominoes thing posted before Enright's commitment was announced? If others follow here in the next few days, that would prove to be the first domino, obviously.Yeah, I choose to look at that as the falling of a couple of dominoes is imminent - not just going to happen eventually. It better be!

Looks happy. Hope it works out well for him.
Did he also get a "prim and proper" haircut?
