Final portal week before classes, who to watch

Looks like USC just hosted Robinson and will also be hosting Bishop Fitzgerald and the edge from South Dakota I mentioned earlier, Cincinnati native Mi’Quise Grace.
there is still the whole spring portal portion to navigate through, this stuff seems to now be a year round infinite add/drop predicament. nfl coaching seems so much easier than college!

Next a big quick, strong, mean DE to solidly the defense. Let's Go.

Looks like we have 1 left to offer, with a possibility of an oversign or two...

DE, SS, LB, G/C, all still seem to be areas we'd look at...

Should be interesting...

This is like an extended Christmas gift opening party!

Curious how you all would rank these positions of need 1-5 with highest level of need being #1 and lowest level of need being #5.

1) SS
2) OL
3) DE
4) LB
5) Best Available
Are we lacking depth at SS? I thought we had Amare Ferrell coming back and behind him was Bryson Bonds who was impressing. I know we lose Asbury as our FS but we bring in Louis Moore. After that, it's pretty bare. We have the 4-star freshman Byron Baldwin but certainly could use depth there. Am I missing something?

Bishop Fitzgerald looks like a stud run defender. Lost Jones and Sanguinetti. Bonds is depth and special teams
Oh I am not saying we can't find improvement and I am all for adding a big time player. But as far as needs.....our secondary as a whole unit, is pretty deep. I imagine we even have the capability of throwing a DB or two towards safety because there is certainly a need for additional depth.

IMO, when it comes to starters and ability to compete a higher level, I feel like our biggest improvement will come via our interior lines, OL and DL. The gains we would make at safety, over what we have, would not be as large as what I feel like we can make in the interior.

I guess I was confusing our Nickle (Terry Jones) with the SS position... I'm thinking that position was just filled by our most recent DB pickup...

I'd revise my list to this:

1) OL
2) DE
3) LB
4) Best Available

If not him, I would think the Knighton kid we got from NIU (I think) could fit that role.

That makes more sense... I'd forgotten about him.... The most recent guy probably can play both true CB and/or Nickle...
True, that would be my thoughts. We are really deep in the DB spot. In reality, I guess we need to prepare for injuries at any position because we know it's basically a guarantee we are going to be starting back-ups at multiple positions throughout the season, if not all season. I can't imagine the last time we didn't lose at least 1 starter prior to the season.
