They are trash. We would whoop Providence or Nova in the tourney. And we will be dancing!!!

They looks much less athletic than us, and noticeably smaller. Can shoot last few minutes tho, but again, really shitty D.

I don't know if I agree with that, providence is as big as we are and shoot the ball better, we could definitely play with them though. they have just found a way to win this year fun team to watch

Which is a problem for BIG teams in the tourney.
Was a problem LAST YEAR.* I know last year was an epic choke and there was no Tourney in ‘20, but people are having way too short of memories. Everyone knows about the title drought, but we’ve sent nearly half the league to the NC Game since 2000. That implies we might struggle in that final game, but not “in the tournament.”

I think the big ten and SEC dominate this year.

Yeah I'm not convinced of that yet. We should win tomorrow but that's far from a guarantee and we'll get smoked at Mackey and against UM in the B1G tournament if that's who play. That probably puts us at 50/50. And that's assuming we win tomorrow.

There are plenty of dusty banners hanging in Pauly Pavilion just like Assy Hall
Big ten has not won a title in 20 years. Not sure on the pac ten but plenty of great sean miller teams flamed out in the ncaa. The arizona team under lute olson had the epic meltdown vs illi ois in like 2005. That team was very good but blew a 13 point lead in like 3 minutes.

Bailor last yr/Kansas 2008- only 2 teams west of the Mississippi have won it since the Mike Bibby/AZ team won in 97. Lots of ACC/BigEast winners with some SEC (FL, Kentucky) sprinkled in.

One thing to consider is number of bids. The big ten seems to get 7 or more quite often. Considering the number of at large bids awarded, that’s a really high percentage (thus more opportunities for a title).

It’s amazing what Al Durham has done with good coaching.
Al Durham didn't play last night and is statistically having the worst year of his career.

Can't deny his ability to hit big free throws down the stretch though. Not sure that's an extension of coaching however.

Plenty of reasons for me to dislike multiple college teams across multiple conferences. (The easiest to root against come tourney time are from the B10, seeing as I live in a city that seems to have hundreds of thousand of fans from each school).

I’ve got no bone against Providence. Never met one of their fans.
I hope they do well in the tourney, and if Al can be a hero for them, that’s great.

I cheer hard against Brunk. Not a big hope the guys that transfer do well guy.

Easy to root against OSU. Easy to root against any BT team. But providence?

Al laid it all on the line for IU. Typically I’m with you though on transfers.

No quams with Al.

like if rob transferee after this year, I’d still cheer for him. Per player thing with me.

Well, I suspect if he transferred to play for the Boilers you might feel differently, but I get what you are saying.

Has any player ever transferred to PU or vice versa?
Robert Vaden was committed to Purdue before de-committing to Indiana. About the closest I can recall on the basketball side of things.

Football on the other hand? It's getting out of control. Purdue should have 3 starters next year who all transferred from Indiana.
