England Has Death Panel

More like the panel recognized the fact of the boy's death.

If that's a death panel . . . we've been using the term wrong.

End of life decisions are hard enough, but our ability to artificially "extend" life now makes a decision that was once made for us into one we have to intentionally make. "He died" is qualitatively different from "We allowed him to die."

I don't have that kind of power.
Reading some of the terrified and indignant bleating of victimhood from some of the posters here, you would think you were directly ruining their lives.
Don't let all that power they (the stupid posters) have given you go to your head. :D

What does this have to do with this thread?

I can delete all sorts of posts now... I know UM or goat is gonna get blamed. 🤣 🤣 🤣

I never understood the death panel issue.

Triage is a form of a death panel, isn't it?

That kind of utilitarian thinking is always in play regarding cost v. benefit in all medical situations regarding end-of-life care. How could it not be, given the fact that, in our reality, we have finite resources?

Triage is an emergency death panel brought about in crisis. It’s different from what these guys mean.

Regardless, it's all about making choices. At some point -- be it immediate or extended -- the emotional, irrational choices need to be overridden by reality and reason.

I agree. I’m just saying one of those is done in an emergency and with time constraints.
