Dusty May

It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds. I think we can all agree, had Woody been fired after last season, there's a high probability Dusty would be in Bloomington right now. In the near future we might be saying, "Whew, glad we have ________ instead of Dusty." Or we might be saying, "F***, we could have had Dusty."

In the end, i think both UM and IU will win--Dusty will succeed, as will __________.

The Gold Dust(y) May be wearing off. Since signing his extension, he’s lost 4 of 6 and in the 2 wins they looked terrible vs Nebraska (who’s totally wilted down the stretch) the whole game and for 1/2 of the Rutgers game. Also, got lots of home cooking down the stretch to help in Rutgers comeback.

Rough stretch, but too early to tell on Dusty. Taking a bad team (8 total wins) to a 2nd place finish in the conference is pretty good.
I’d be ecstatic if somehow it ends up being him. Just like I’d be ecstatic if it were McCasland, McCollum, Beard, Otz.

Michigan is 2-4 since extending Dusty; the two wins were one possession games against Nebraska on the road and Rutgers at home, and the losses were all blowouts. But he's done a great job otherwise, and he'd still be a great fit if somehow he reconsiders

And the only reason IU fans wanted May was because he was a manager here. They dodged a bullet.
It’s easy to belittle a man who jilted his woman at the alter. It makes loosing him seem a little less painful after the tears are left in tracks. Dusty May scorned our advances, or at least some like to believe.

I'm a little surprised a man of words like you can't spell losing.

The B10 is a physical/meat grinder league with the best coaches up/down the conference. I think that you have to coach in a big-boy conference for several years in a row to see how you really shake-out. How a coach reloads every year is a telling tale. In 4 or 5 seasons from now, DM could be staring at back-back 500 records in the Big Ten. Then what? Sustaining greatness year-in-year out is much more difficult today.

I'm sorry but I'm not seeing remarkable or amazing. If he wasn't an "IU guy"would you feel the same?
Solid first season on a bigger stage, time will tell where he goes from here. I agree probably not "amazing" especially down the stretch but if Woodson had been getting his results he'd still be here.

He would've had the majority of his team back at FAU, if they could've scratched up the money. This could've been the year for them. I think he's a good coach. Are we sure he ever wanted the IU job?

Exactly. He’s probably very comfortable with his decision. Why deal with all the petty bullshit that IU basketball has turned into. I am so apathetic of the current IU basketball, especially after living through all the glorious years. The next coach has to be someone that really loves the game and makes his players love to be on the court.

No matter how many times I proofread, sometimes fault-ridden words are missed, almost as if they were never there to begin with. The human mind, mine in particular it’s been shown, is a mysterious network of neurons sometimes short-circuited at the synaptic gap perhaps, much to the folly of his fellow man.

Thank you for calling attention to my ignorance. Stupidity, of which I’m a part, deserves public
ridicule for the development of humbleness, a more desirable trait.

For God sakes, control your synaptic gap
