Dusty May

It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds. I think we can all agree, had Woody been fired after last season, there's a high probability Dusty would be in Bloomington right now. In the near future we might be saying, "Whew, glad we have ________ instead of Dusty." Or we might be saying, "F***, we could have had Dusty."

In the end, i think both UM and IU will win--Dusty will succeed, as will __________.

The Gold Dust(y) May be wearing off. Since signing his extension, he’s lost 4 of 6 and in the 2 wins they looked terrible vs Nebraska (who’s totally wilted down the stretch) the whole game and for 1/2 of the Rutgers game. Also, got lots of home cooking down the stretch to help in Rutgers comeback.

Dusty inherited a dumpster fire and will comfortably make the tournament. This is probably the worst roster he will have.

Rough stretch, but too early to tell on Dusty. Taking a bad team (8 total wins) to a 2nd place finish in the conference is pretty good.
I’d be ecstatic if somehow it ends up being him. Just like I’d be ecstatic if it were McCasland, McCollum, Beard, Otz.

14 conference wins in first season. Look no further.

Would have needed Ware, TJD JHS etc to win 14 at IU.

Michigan is 2-4 since extending Dusty; the two wins were one possession games against Nebraska on the road and Rutgers at home, and the losses were all blowouts. But he's done a great job otherwise, and he'd still be a great fit if somehow he reconsiders

And the only reason IU fans wanted May was because he was a manager here. They dodged a bullet.
It’s easy to belittle a man who jilted his woman at the alter. It makes loosing him seem a little less painful after the tears are left in tracks. Dusty May scorned our advances, or at least some like to believe.

I'm a little surprised a man of words like you can't spell losing.

The B10 is a physical/meat grinder league with the best coaches up/down the conference. I think that you have to coach in a big-boy conference for several years in a row to see how you really shake-out. How a coach reloads every year is a telling tale. In 4 or 5 seasons from now, DM could be staring at back-back 500 records in the Big Ten. Then what? Sustaining greatness year-in-year out is much more difficult today.
